Thread: How do I make my own skins | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Thread: What am I doing wrong? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - hello. sorry to barge in. i know this is only slightly related (as in, if i'm lucky, i'll get this far)
i have been using a programe called DoGa where i made a whole lotta great scenes and parts... now i want to use them in DAZ. but, the filetypes are a little perculiar:
.SUF .PART .FSC .L3P .DXF .WRL .VRML .X (Direct3D)... yeah... i have NO idea what any of them are. all i want is to convert them into OBJ's or something else that i can use in D|S.
i use Daz Studio Adanced.
I apreciate any help here
There is a program called UV Mapper (Try to Google it) and a closer description under WWII AIRPLANE by Thunderr, I don't know if UV Mapper can help you but check it out.

**First off; the obj-file is one I found online - this is for personal use only of cause - complete with described textures and liked it, so I made the folder like I described, won't this work without the PP2-file and if not how do I make that DAZ?.

**I just tried what you said; it doesn't work at all unless I put it under Libraries, but while I can open the folder it is still empty, and I went that many folders deep because I copied a folder made by someone else, still; there has to be something I can do to make this work.

Thread: Too Few DAZ Contests | Forum: Suggestion Box
I'm glad to hear it Annie, and the three levels was of cause only a suggestion, which level an artist would compete on should of cause be up to each individual themselves, I just remember when I first started getting to know DAZ I had no idea what I was doing and would probably have been more comfortable competing against someone at the same level as myself, rather than against someone with years of experience with DAZ, but maybe that's just me.

**Let me just say that I love this site too and would never put in down in any way, but I would like very much a chance to pit myself against other D/S users, and what I had in mind might be a bit elaborate but here goes.
A contest in three levels
Beginners
Practiced (That would be me)
Masters
In the following suggested categories
Sci-fi
Historic
Military
City-life
People
Nature
Romantic
OMG
Memories
Music
Seasonal
The Need for Speed
Each category would be a contest in itself, the winner of the monthly contests - at each level - gets an new entry to the semi-finals, the Final Battle then becomes between the three Level Winners for the title of "DAZ User of the Year"
Whether or not there are actual prizes - like donations from vendors - isn't really important, but worth looking into.**

**I just wish people like Barcode wouldn't act like opening this thread was meant as a personal insult, I'm not the type who kick over other people's sandcastles, but every time I've looked in the "Open Contests" segment I see more or less the same posts, today it's Bryce, Maya and a program I don't know apparently called Terragen, that's why I posted this thread.
