Thanks for adding one of my photos. Excellent idea of this weekly photos. Gives me a chance too see some of the great ones I've missed. =) I'll definately make weekly visits here.

The first one looks the most balanced to me. The tighter crop definately works the best IMHO.

DHolman is totally correct about the thumbnail issue and the work flow of 16 bit photos. That is how most proffesional photographers work with digital these days. I'm not a pro, but having done advanced digital photomedia at university level, I was taught the same method. In 16bit mode you have all the basic filters and adjustments levels avaliable to you. Only time you should revert to 8 bit is to post an image on the web, but for printing purposes 16bit is far superior to 8bit. If you don't believe me just look at the histogram for 8 and 16 bit photo.
