I tried to create a new library for the same runtime and, this time, I find the new product I have installed.
Thread: Manually installing content in Poser 13 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I suppose you have had previous versions of Poser. Do you have a special library for older stuffs ? Do you use the default "Download" library or have you created new libraries ? Perhaps I should put all my old purchases in a new library rather than using "Download", which was pre-installed ? Although I don't see any reason why this one wouldn't be appropriate...I always install manually because I have numerous runtime folders and separate my content accordingly.ย However, I always inspect the folder hierarchy within each zip file so that the primary folder is called runtime.ย Otherwise, I correct the hierarchy structure within the zip file and install it afterwards.ย I have all my runtime folders on the D: drive.

Poser 13 is installed on my C: drive, while all the runtimes are installed in the D: drive. It just seems that the library doesn't update.Where is the Download Library located?ย If you are installing in the Programs Files Primary Poser installation, that is a bad location.ย With the current Windows 10 or 11, UACย will interfere with installed content, either preventing access or relocating them to a virtual location on your drive.ย My recommendation is to install in a location away from the Programs Files folder.ย
Am I the only one who installs manually ?

When I installed Poser 13, I chose the "Dowload" library for my old PoserPro 2012 runtime, and i works fine. But it seems that any product I add in this runtime won't appear in the library. Is there a way to check to what runtime the library is attached ?I believe Poser 12 and Poser 13 have separate download libraries. You might check that you used the correct downloads runtime and that's also the runtime you're looking at.

Open your Poser.ini found in your settings normally in
AppData/Roaming/Poser Pro/ "Version of Poser"
Open the Poser.ini with Preferable Notepad ++ Free software. Activate in search Incremental search ! search for the line
LIBRARY_IS_AIR 0 and replace with LIBRARY_IS_AIR 1
LIBRARY_EMBEDDED_TYPE 0 and replace to LIBRARY_EMBEDDED_TYPE 1
the second might vary and makes no difference once you made the changes it will always drop to type 1 ... save your changes and your library will work again.
Does anybody have a solution for pose Pro 2012 ? The line "LIBRARY_EMBEDEDDED_TYPE 0 does not exist in the .ini file. is there an other line to modufy ?

Thanks for your answer and the examples you gave me. I didn't think it would be a problem for my picture but I thought it was better to check. And it's good to know that, in some cases, a simple render made with 3D resources can still be a problem. The rule of "50%" makes sense to me. But, do you mean that if I make a crowded scene with many characters, clothes, hair and objects, I have to check the license for every item ?
Thread: Using DSON in Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OK ! I found DSON Loader. But I'm not sure I understand well. Will this script allow me to install in Poser some DAZ products which don't have the DSON importer for Poser ?
Thread: Using DSON in Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It didn't change. No need to install DAZ Studio to use DSON. I installed DS only because I wanted to give it a try. But I didn't know that I could use items without Poser Companion Files with DSON. Is it what you say ? I had never heard about DSON loader before. Where is it sold ?

I'll try that while I haven't many things installed yet. Thank you both for your help. I like to understand how things work.

Thanks for answering LaurieA. I've just done that and it works. Actually, I have just discovered that my Genesis Starter Essentials were in C:UsersPublicDocumentsMy DAZ 3D Library. So, I linked it to a new runtime in Poser. Questions :

I finally could find the product at Hivewire. It's called "Lady Helms" and was associated to the African Explorer sold at DAZ years ago. Although it's no longer in the freebies, the Creator nicely sent me the file. Thanks for your help.

I have this one - but no idea where I got it from now, or whether it was a freebie or not.! Picture 1.png
Although it's not the one, it's a nice one. But if you're not sure it's a freebie, I prefer not to. Thanks anyway.
Thread: Poser 11 Sneak Peek | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Unlike many people here, I'm not very aware of everything which is happening in the 3D industry. I can only notice that the problem of compatibility is increasing over the years. When I started with Poser 4, I could use all 3D resources available on many websites with my V3. Now, I see that Gen 3 and V7 are no longer compatible with Poser (at least so far). So, if the competitor doesn't want its characters and resources to be compatible with Poser, what can SM do to solve this problem ? As someone else said earlier in this forum, it seems to me that compatibility is one of the most important issues for the future of Poser. I love Poser and I have never wanted to change despite many attempts to learn the other software. But my greatest fear is to discover, in a couple of years, that I can no longer find quality resources for Poser because most artists have choosen to create resources for the new DAZ characters. So, I am waiting impatiently to know how the next Poser is going to deal with this issue.
