Thanks for the input Robyn. Yes, it is a NEW laptop... the problem I am looking at is a three hundred dollar difference in price. If Poser 7 will still run, but has an attitude about it, I think I can live with that.

I am still waiting for my CD version of v6 to show up in my mailbox right now, so this thread has been quite informative (and entertaining). I really am looking forward to seeing what is going to be different this time around.

As for the 'upgrade' to Renderosity... let's just say that it wasn't broke until they fixed it. I know quite a few people who have stopped coming here as a result of it. Such a shame.

This is my first visit to this forum and I am very happy to have stumbled upon this thread. I cast my vote... Bryce 5.5 all the way. I must say that I definitely agree with Maxxx though... they should be putting all of their resources towards v6 (with steady member updates regarding the progress they are making, thus insuring plenty of anticipation and hype along the way). I think that a change would be nice just so all the whining stops... SERIOUSLY. I never understood why so many people pitch an absolute fit about what others are posting. If you post an image, what the hell is the difference if after you post your work 3 artists post 1 image each... or 1 artist posts 3? Get over it, this is a community.
