Thanks for the replies and have ordered my copy. Came across the following which offers a contrast between the two; in fact it comes down favourably on Vue. Also other applications considered too. here's the link: http://millimeter.com/ar/video_build_own/index.htm

Thanks for the invaluable info., Aldaron. I looked at the book in Amazon, read the reviews and was tempted but in the end I went for the associated book. I'll go with that for now then maybe attain the Kitchens book. By the way thanks for the link. That Brycetech looks the part!

Renders! Since learning about 3D artwork that's the one word that keeps cropping up. By the way I didn't buy the Kitchens book with it being for 4; I bought the Bryce 5 handbook by Shamms Mortier. I hope it's a good book!

Thanks for the replies. Yes it is Bryce 5 and the files are in the folder as you said. I can open them that way but it would have been more convienient from the menu bar. Not bad, I've hit a problem on installation, can't wait to see what nightmares await me once I start to use this thing! Anyway, off to load that patch. thanks again.
