Acadia, many of the older links - particularly the ones which reference to RDNA are no longer available.

One thing though is the Hex has no issue with the sizing of various Poser objects which are microscopic to most other 3D applications.
Blender imports Poser obj files as very tiny spec's which need to be rescaled just so that you can see them. (btw Silo has the same issue).
Blender is a full featured modeler with a lot of features even given its quirky interface, but it is a good one to learn on.
As well Hex will be moving to 3.0 which will in theory be less buggy. Daz is also a marketing company and at pone time offered Hex for $1.99 (which it was a month ago in March madness) so if you are not in a hurry you can save some money.
Thread: cpu and video card | Forum: Vue
I am running an AMD Athlon 3500+ Nvidia 6800GT and it works just fine - key though is RAM - minimum according to E-on for the software is 512 and I started with 1Gig, but found working to be lumpy and rendering slow as well.
Upgrade of an additional 2 Gig and this is a completely different program.
I asked the same question on Cornupcopia and the answers I got were that RAM is king (if you have a decent system). From there processor choice is how much can you afford.
There are some people who are using old PC's (P4's etc.) as render cows to speed up the process - the comments are generally good from them.
Hope this helps.

Starlet, thanks for your honesty. this is frustrating for everyone - keep in good cheer. These things are very hard to predict - when you build up excitement - you get excitement. Now is the let down cause the excitement wasn't met.
I tried for 10 days to get Poser 5 and it was always bogged - eventually I just gave up.
I hope that P7 is not the same - I paid for it in October and will indeed download it.
Given this - I hope that it is worth the wait.
Until then Vue 6 here I come!!
Thread: Using Morphs on Jessie | Forum: Poser Technical
Will try it again, but of note.
I start with blank scene/load hi res jessie/load FBM pose - nothing happens (genitals on/inverse Kinematics off)
I have also started with deleting James (startup character)/load Jessie Hi Res/load Jessie Hi Res FBM (figure)/load Jessie Hi Res FBM (pose) same result.
Hence my puzzlement.
