I don't know why, but I never seem to get the prizes when I place in this contest. I never got them last year when I placed, and this year I didn't even get the confirmation email. Help please?

Jamie, thank you so much. Please don't feel bad. It's really a small matter. I just wanted to express my opinion. It is a fun contest.

Firstly, thank you for the Halloween contest. It's a lot of fun.
Secondly, in the writer’s category of the Halloween Contest, I see you have copied and pasted the stories from the submitted files into the description fields. That is fine. However, in some entries the copy and pasting was done in such a haphazard way that the formatting was ruined – line spacing, punctuation, were all clumped into a big mess. My point is, you would not take someone’s image that was painted or rendered, paste it onto the website, and think it was okay to distort its color, or stretch and pull its aspect ratio. So why is it okay for the written story?
I understand this is just an amateur contest for fun and it should not be taken seriously. However, I believe writing is an art form too, and the way a story is formatted, the way it is presented, has meaning and intent. It should not be treated so callously.
Again, not trying to be pedantic or a jerk. It is just the way I see it. After all, Renderosity is a business to promote and assist people to create their own form of artistic expressions, and artists absolutely despise having their creations messed with by others.
Thank you.
Thread: Winners of August contests announced | Forum: Community Center
I would like to thank Renderosity, SpookieLilOne, and RPublishing for sponsoring the August Contests. It was really fun to participate in them and it was very generous to offer prizes. I do hope that more people will join in future contests. I really like seeing what other people are doing with this 3D hobby of ours. And since we will be rendering images for fun anyway, why not try and win some very nifty prizes. If even I am lucky enough to win a prize here and there, it only proves that anybody can win. Happy rendering!

I just want to say thank you. I had a lot of fun participating in the contest and learned a lot while doing it. It couldn't be easy organizing it all and helping all the participants. So thank you Hope Kumor and the organizers at Renderosity.
