Changing your user name, or deleting your user account would seriously damage the number or members renderosity has, it is not allowed......however you are encouraged to signup a new user account to help add to this sites padded membership numbers :)

With the small amount of experience I have (read 1 or 2 of "those" websites) I agree with your comments in post 32, they seemed pretty hostile to members rather than issues.....and the theme of "you agree with us or we'll run you off" seemed pretty strong...at least in the little bits that I read.

I'd answer your question whether or not I thought you were an asshead :) as you know the TOS here prevent me from making such an observation as it would be considered a personal attack even if I were only confirming your opinion of yourself. I said I would leave when my account was deleted....so far its only been banned.

mateo you certainly are entitled to your opinion of what the old OT forum here was.....and what your opinion of the new OT forum is.... my opinion is that you have spent very little time with any of the people involved....the biggest part of what made up the OT forum was the vast and varied opinions......who would even want to participate in a forum where everyone agreed??? Xenophonz......most of the regular posters at the old OT and at the new OT site are a pretty nice group of people. When I first started going to the OT here I kinda thought the same way you did, but as I got to know the different people I soon learned that just because the differed in their opinions that didn't mean that they hated members who didn't agree with them......I wish the old OT had not been deleted I could have shown you several examples of what I mean.

Show me a forum site that doesn't have some sort of disclaimer...... perhaps you didn't get so far into the forums that we (the members) get to vote a person (troublemaker)out.....its not a one person rules all over there. My interpertation of what you quoted is.. "You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws." Laws...meaning state laws, not rules set by the site owner. (clip) "Vote em off the island! - 0 Posts in 1 Threads piss the entire community off and we'll vote you off the island!" (end of clip) :)

That was the whole point of the OT before it was shut down.....we were tolerant enough to discuss things we disagreed with others on.....and accept that some people had different views (hell I even changed some of my opinions after hearing other peoples views on certain subjects)..... Shutting down the OT and letting the personal attacks on the OT posters shows a good amount of intolerance for differing opinions.

Ratteler I understand (and agree) completely why you would want to delete your posts from here. I was one of the ones pissed about the OT forum being deleted..... I was not a troublemaker, I only had one warning...when they closed the OT it was like censorship, and their reasons behind the closing were laughable at best.....their recent "idea" about an OT forum "where certain subjects would be offlimits" is further proof of their need to censor all content here on their site. I asked them to delete my membership here...assuming that my artist page, my gallery, and all my posts would be flushed too....only to find out that they had only banned me, all my gallery pics and stuff remained, it took several public messages (which were deleted) and private messages and emails until they finally removed my stuff. (I was not allowed access to my old gallery because they banned me rather than delete me...most likely to keep me on the roster here) Anyway....anyone that becomes upset with things here I urge you to delete your own content before you go, or you will be forced to register as a new user to ask that your stuff be deleted by the staff. I can only speak from my own experiences......getting your account, gallery, artist page deleted from here is damn near impossible....even when you ask nicely!

This is frustrating......I came to make sure my account had been deleted....it has not, only the password has been changed....and now I cannot delete my gallery. I don't give a rip about debating the old OT, I'm over that, I just want my stuff out of here for good.
