The whole Premier thing is disappointing to me.
I took advantage of a sale and have Daz+ through June 2026. My offer for Premier? A free month.
I asked if I could pay for a month of Premier to try it. Nope, You can't have dual memberships. And if you 'upgrade', it's a one-way deal.
So the option is to trade 7 months of + coupons - $84 - to see if the Premier software features are worth paying the monthly fee. I'll be waiting until my + expires, that's a poor value transaction.
The content you get with Premier isn't a draw for me, Genesis 9 has a great face and eyes, but the chest geometry does not give me male body shape I find acceptable.

They'll delete a lost just because they don't agree, doesn't have to be offensive or against TOS.

I recommend WP Guru's tutorial: https://youtu.be/jROlY34tNNU?si=DCB-IKlFnw0sZt9H
It can be used to convert characters between generations easily, as long as the clone shapes are there. it's pretty easy to follow.
I don't use G9. I tried, but I can't get a male chest that looks acceptable to me.
They modeled in a defined W shape around the breasts with a higher density than the surrounding mesh, and there are morphs or shapes out there to buy that get rid of that effect. I don't understand the reasoning behind it, because they removed the nipples and navel in favor of the quad mesh. Seems like that should have adequate for the chest as well, but it makes sense they would prioritize the gender that makes them movey.

I've been rendering less since G9 came out, and my purchasing as definitely decreased significantly.
There's a lot of things I like about G9, but I mostly render male characters and hate the chest for the male shapes.
I get why the figure is designed the way it is. Content for female characters sells more, so that's the priority. I just wish someone would come up with a male shape that doesn't have the sharp crease under and between the breasts, and the odd squished flat look.
Lumping all the clothes in together also makes shopping a lot tougher.

I'm disappointed that there are very few male clothes for Genesis 9. I don't want pirates, etc. I don't do female pinups either. DAZ made a big claim that Genesis 9 males could wear female clothes. I posted that this wasn't realistic. They deleted my post.
The marketing of Genesis 9 as unisex is wishful thinking. The reality is that vast majority of content for the figure is what I would consider to be traditionally female clothes. Lots of high heels, blouses, skirts, lingerie and the like. When something is modeled after a men's garment it usually is lacking the details, like a collar band on a men's woven collared button up shirt.
Genesis 9, whether by intent or without realizing it, is optimized for the Daz3D volume customers - people who render women with breasts. The mesh has baked in cleavage between and under the breasts that I haven't seen anyone ZBrush away.
It makes sense that their largest customer base would be their main focus, but they really don't like anyone saying that in the forums.

Timberoo posted at 4:26 PM Mon, 20 November 2023 - #4477983That's why it was a suggested place to start and not framed as a definitive answer. That will not work if it is a moprh saved with a non-zero default value - Currently Used shows properties with non-default values, not non-zero values.I'd suggest going to the Shaping Tab, select the figure and at "Currently Used" option to see if something is loading dialed in.

Timberoo posted at 8:27 AM Fri, 24 February 2023 - #4456779Agreed. I don't think it was the best move.I think DAZ should have kept male and female G9 as separate characters. I think that G9 is having joint bend problems partially due to G9's unisex design.I've bought some content for G9 and tried to work with it, but I pretty much only do male characters. G9's breasts have an odd effect that occurs when the are reshaped to look like pec muscles or when flattened out to appear like an undeveloped chest. They look too sharply defined compared to the rest of the musculature in the cleavage and underbreast area, sometimes with a beveled effect. It can be compounded by the texture and normal maps, but the effect can carry through to clothes so it's definitely a shaping issue.
I don't expect any fixes for it, female characters sell a lot more and I think G9 was made with that in mind.
