lol, great indeed, would love to see people a little more active in this game, as many started well and yesterday you were the only one who even looked at the image. :S Ohwell, lets see what will happen if people finally figure out you can win this game :o) Cheers, Vraxor

Congratz!! Patmartj is the only only one to guess it right, it is a candle! I opened up the entire image, so everybody can see what the object was, thanks for playing the game all! Cheers, Vraxor
Thread: Picture Quest #1 | Forum: Photography
Still no good answer and so another part has opened slowly more and more of the object becomes visible. I can give you all one small hint, it's a very common object, and it's man made. Cheers, Vraxor

Ok, it seemed to be still very difficult to guess whats on the picture, so anther part has been opened. Happy 2005 ALL!!! Enjoy all that comes on your path as 2005 is just another year full of surprises that need handeling. Cheers, Vraxor

Ok, another part has been opened, should be more visible now. :o) Good luck and a happy New Years Eve! Vraxor

hehe, tiles are free, just wait for tomorow :o) Tomorow another part of the object will become visible, and I believe it will become very clear then what the object is. From now on it will only become easier. Cheers, Vraxor

oh, btw, I had a little request aswell :o) Please all send me pictures I can use for this little quest. If you want to help me get this game going, I need pictures of objects, the object should be in focus, and in full color, so no b&w. You can send your images to webmaster@tc-revolution.net I can not gurantee that you image will be used, but when it does I will let you know. However, as soon as your image is used you can not participate in the guessing, sound pretty obvious I think, but I just needed to mention it :o) Thanks, Michel

Day 2! Today I refreshed the image, more parts are visible now. Everyone may guess again and I will say tomorow who guessed right. I also made up my mind about the scoring. The first one to guess it right will get 20 points, no matter how many parts of the image are opened. The 2nd will get 16 points, 3rd = 14 points, 4th = 12 points, 5th = 10, 6th = 9, 7th = 8, 8th = 7, 9th = 6 and 10th = 5 points. Only the first 10 will get points. Also make sure to give your answer in the forum, as that's the only way I will count the answer. Comments are nice, but since it ain't a serious image and most comments are not about the image, I don't want the image to get much comments. The galleries are for art, the forum is for chatting and having fun. So take another look at the image, and do another guess :o) Cheers, Vraxor

hehe, fantastic!!! The Picture Quest is already a great succes, all those replies and comments are wonderful. Still there is no winning guess, so tomorow I'll refresh the image. Be sure to check back the image, as it is updated, so it will replace the current image, no seperate upload, so it won't be displayed on the latest uploads, it might be helpful to bookmark this forum topic and the picture for the time being. Tomorow you'll all have a second chance. I won't be telling if there is a winning quess untill the day after. Everyone who guesses the right object will get points, but the first one will get most, I'll still need to define a scoring system, but that'll be figured out soon. :o) Glad to see you all participate and enjoy, Michel

hehe, I must agree on no 2. However I must admit to love the dark, so don't worry about me here, well only when I get a little too dark minded :)

I agree on that. Even though I think that it is not to be proven that you in fact used his/her formula for the one you made after the changes it would still be the best thing to just contact the owner. I know I would appreciate someone asking me if they may alter my creations and I'm sure not going to ask for any more then a reference unless the new creation would look in no way to the orinigal. Cheers, Vraxor

In my humble opinion a formala's copyright counts only for the excact same formula. With other words, when you change the formula, even if it is for one tiny piece of it, it is no longer the original and therefore no longer in the copyright of the original owner.
That means that from the moment you tweak it, you will have the copyright, but I'm no law expert and I might be totally wrong on this one, but this is just my opinion.

Yes Erlik, I begin to understand what you mean. Well, I'm just not fond of using css, but since I use php somethings can only be controlled by the use of css. I know it's a bit a mess, but I will clean it up later :) Just say that I will then start using the css files more, in fact let everything control by css. I may assume that Netscape will give some more troubles with that? I hope that even with the little css errors, you can still see the entire site, especially the galleries. Cheers, Vraxor
