Yes that's true ! Not really possible to render directly a great dof in Vue. But : render your image directly in Vue without DOF, save your image both in normal and z-buffer, and use the Z-buffer and your normal image to create by postwork a wonderful DOF effect. Sorry, I know it's possible to do but I never do it myself, maybe I made a mistake... Yves

Don't know for your prob, but reminds me a strange problem I had 2 years ago with Vue 2, installing Vue and my paint shop pro was no more working, reinstalling paint shop pro and my Vue 2 was no more working and so on... By the way they were working together just before a hard disk crash ! Yves

Thread: Very new to Vue - how do I make the terrain line disappear? | Forum: Vue
Just try to move "clip" (or "cut"?) slide in the terrain editor Also, your problem seems to indicate that the terrain is under the default ground plane, maybe just select the ground plane and delete it... Yves

Cheers , I don't know ! Strange, I found now other web addresses with high level of max temperature (85-90C) . See for instance http://blymp.free.fr/download/AthlonXP.pdf Now I don't know what to believe, requires more research on the we to understand Yves

Max temperature of your processor should be below 60C. A nice temperature seems to be below 50C. Just in case it can help, Yves

could be hardware as said above, I often mention excessive temperature on the processor. You maybe can check the temperature of your processor in the Bios, and compare it to "normal" values (can find them on the net if interested) Yves

I prefer this version, we can see more light/shadows gradient !!! Now welcome to the club of hours Vue renderers ! One tip is to prepare the pictures during the days and render it during night ;=) Computer works during night, and you sleep (as an example). This way you can even increase your rendering time up to 8hours (one night between 23h and 7h). Hope you will continue to model by yourself, ;=) Yves
Thread: Nice picture comments and harsh critics | Forum: Vue
In fact I just wanted to say, if someone don't ask for comment, maybe the picture was exactly what he wanted... As said above, other artists can say "You should try a blue sky, you should add a yellow stone,..." But the creator is the only person knowing what he wanted. Such design, such style,... That's not the same if someone ask for advice and criticism, that means he doesn't know exactly what he want to do, we can put constructive ideas... Stopping the comments is an other solution, although very very frustrating when there is a beautiful picture, I can not add my "waow it's beautiful" comment. Which may appear to be simple, but at least it's truth. So that's not a good solution. My point of view is I don't ask for advice, I always know what I want, even if my picture is not perfect I know where are the defects. But if someone want to add comments he is always welcomed, whatever is the constructive content No excuses for bad comments, I think we could write a thesis on the art of good comment ;=) Yves
Thread: Nice picture comments and harsh critics | Forum: Vue
One important thing I understood only with experience, is that, if someone doesnt ask criticism, don't give him even constructive criticism. Just a non written rule to avoid artist sensibility problems ;=) Yves
Thread: Vue d'Esprit Halloween Contest | Forum: Vue
It is not mentioned at all in the contest description, so we can suppose the submission is not anonymous... But the name of artist is not mentioned near the picture, there is just a number : so there can be a doubt ... LadyNimue, do you know if the submission must be anonymous or not ?
