They should have stopped processing orders rather than take my money and tell me the product was already downloaded or pending payment. Then they ust keep stringing me along telling me it will be fixed in an hour. That was 24 hours ago. It is definitely due to the pre-release, but that was their bad idea that they are forcing me to pay for. Oh well, they won't get any more money from me after this one.

Well at least you all are just waiting for an upgrade. I tried to buy the version 8 and have spent the last 24 hours getting told it will work in an hour or two. Pretty darn frustratingly bad service.

Glad I found this it will save me a little bit when the time comes. I took a break from art to get my mind straight and found out to my dismay that I cannot upgrade from 5 because I did not buy the upgrade to 6 :-( Thanks for the link!

I had a ton of trouble with plant crashes when I first installed V5E, they had to send me some different files because the CD had bad ones. THey said this was not common but happened with a bunch of the CDs. I would contact E-on.

I would kill to get my hands on some of these terrains. If you can put them in any picture format we can use them in Vue. I assume .png or .bmp would be best.

Actually, I tried that and re-nstalling a few times. Turns out that some CDs have a bad copy of hte plants and you have to apply a new version of them.

Well, it turns out that the install did not put any of the objects on my hard drive. That is why it crashed, the objects pointed to are not there. I copied them over from the cd and it appears to work now. I found a mention of it on the official boards, thanks to everyone who tried to help.
