Press the Windows button and the taskbar AND the startmenu appears. Click the taskbar to get rid of the menu. Keep your cursor over the taskbar and it's there as long as you whish. This works on my machine with Bryce 5 and Win XP. - Zoot

Ornlu...ok, then. 2.560 GB, I rounded it up to 2.6 for simplicity. I have a K7 Triton400 motherboard which says it can manage 3 pieces of 1024 MB modules but as a matter of fact the machine won't even start with them all applied. So I had to reduce the RAM to 2.56 GB to make it work. I had some Bryce 5 files which took 14 minutes to open or save with 1.25 GB RAM, but with the 2.56 GB we're talking about 5 - 6 minutes for the same files. Strange things happen to IE, though - it hangs up from time to time. My second OS, WinME, won't start at all with this amount of RAM. - Zoot

I run WinXP HE with a 2400+ Athlon XP and 2.6 gig RAM DDR, a necessity for all the polygons I "shuffle around". IE behaves somewhat funny, though. - Zoot

I agree with Karin. And regarding the price for two smaller sets or for a large one - it doesn't matter that much since you keep very human prices. Incredible, when you think of the professional work you offer. Sales wagons and tents - can we have sales wagons and tents, please? Err..and maybe a beer barrel - we must have beer! Jeez - why should I mention that...I get thirsty. Keep up the good work! - Zoot

Nice work, Jeff! (Sorry I called you Jack before!). In my humble opinion, the stone size now look realistic. Can't wait to see more! - Zoot

Hi there, Jack! Nice work! I do agree with ceba, though; the wall stones and the house stones could be slightly decreased in size. I'm looking forward to the release. I also have a wish: new textures for the good old backlot houses. Keep up the good work! - Zoot

If you're smart, wait until you can order from a retailer, never mind the price, 'cause if you 'preorder' from CL you won't know SCHMUCK, not even if it's gonna be delivered or not. Maybe it depends on where you live. I preoredered my copy on the second day possible and I have heard absolutely nothing ever since. All I can get on the CL site is that my order is 'processed'. I'll give it two more days and then I'll withdraw my so called 'preorder'. -Zoot

Sweden's still waiting... The good thing is that maybe the patch will arrive first...? - Zoot

Nice to see there are people from northern Europe here among all these Americans that seems to believe there's no life outside the US! Carolly: Glad to know there's someone who knows what a real viking looked like instead of that common icon of a guy wearing a horned helmet. See you, guys! - Zoot

JWB: I had no problem with the Objects, Materials or Skies presets. But what I did was that I saved all my presets before I installed the patch and after the patch was installed I copied all my presets back again. Otherwise I found the patch to work well. - Zoot

DigitalDream#3: It depends on what you are expecting. ;o) Why not wait for Bryce 7 or 8? No offence, though... -Zoot

Jambra: The tree quality is very good as soon as you get the hang of it. ;) There's a lot of bark textures, there are leaf textures and a lot of predesigned trees like maples, cykamores, oaks a s o. I didn't find that the trees slowed down the rendering that much either. I am completely satisfied with my B5 upgrade so far and that's not only for the Tree lab. -Zoot
Thread: Bryce 5 Install Problem | Forum: Bryce
No installation probs at all... I installed my B5 upgrade over my MetaCreation Bryce 4 version without any probs. Maybe the problem is whether you are a registered user or not...? -Zoot
