I only know that money has been taken from my account in the exact amount of the order under the name RENDEROSITY. If you don't have it, then who does? In any event, I have elevated this is to a formal dispute through Mastercard.

Well, as of today, I just placed an order (112762344), paid for it through PayPal, got confirmation from PayPal that the payment had been sent, checked my PayPal account and it shows the payment as having been made ... but still unpaid on Renderosity. Even WORSE - I just received an e-mail telling me my order would be cancelled unless I paid for it "soon"! I don't call this "fixed".
I do not want to risk using credit cards here, so it's PayPal or nothing. Looks like it's going to be nothing.

Well mine finally came through, seven hours after the payment was sent, but no reply from Customer Service. There is definitely a problem here that needs looking at.

Well, six hours on, I still have my order showing as unpaid and I am not a happy customer. Still also waiting for a Customer Service response. This is the trouble when companies keep mucking about with their web sites; they are such sprawling, complex, things that they are almost impossible to properly debug so it gets left to the customer to do the testing.

I have now had this problem with two orders. The first one I had to e-mail Customer Support to get it cleared. The second order is still shown as Unpaid after almost an hour after PayPal issued the payment confirmation e-mail. Something is definitely broken here and it's broken badly. Whether it's the new site or PayPal is open to debate but, given that the problems appeared within seconds of the new site layout following a period of intermittent Site Maintenance Outages, I know what seems the most likely.
[EDIT: Just e-mailed Customer Support on this latest order]
Thread: Residential by Powerage – the Part 2 zip file is empty | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Quote - Ok I have taken a look at the file and they are there. Â The second file is 77mb which is larger than our normal size files.Â
I have reset all of your downloads on your account for you so you can try again.
Â
Please be sure to disable any download accelerator/ manager for they do not work with our system.
Â
Â
OK, got it now ... but it was painfully slow.

Confirmed. The file is zero length. Seems a bit odd that we have to contact the vendor when it's blatantly obvious that the file is in error. It should never even have passed basic QA like that!!
... but I guess I must have misread the title of the forum. I thought it said "MarketPlace Customer Support". My mistake.

I have it and it does provide some very powerful capabilities, but really I've never been able to get to grips with it. It never seems to save what I thought it was saving. Also, I don't believe it has been updated in quite a while. On a purely cosmetic perspective, I find the interface extremely complex and the multi-coloured dialogue boxes and buttons give me headaches. Probably I just need to spend more time with it, though. If you can spend some time getting to know it, it is capable of being a very useful tool. There's a tutorial here: http://www.pcbos.nl/Poser_Website/PoseTool/TutorialPoseTl/Manual/Tut_Quick.html

Poser 6 SR2 still crashes, but it isn't as bad as all of the prior versions and service releases since 5.0. The problem continues to be bad memory management, but at least 90% of the time P6 SR2 gives you a warning that it's about to trash your work with the "Poser has encountered a problem while rendering" message. In my experience, you should never EVER save your scene after a render has crashed. Get out of poser double quick time and go back to your last saved version, otherwise you WILL lose your work. Also, avoid using the e-Frontier-recommended "Texture Filtering" setting in Firefly, especially if you are using hi-res textures. This checkbox should really be renamed "Cause the rendering engine to crash" As for the abomination known as External Binary Morph files, all I can say is that I turned that off in P6 a long long time ago, and I have never even bothered to check whether SR2 fixed it or not. After three experiences of ruined scenes and corrupted figures that had had their morph channels detached due to the unforgiveable bug in the original PMD handler, I will never trust that feature again. However, all of that said, on the whole Poser 6 SR2 works reasonably well and is acceptably reliable. It is, hoever, a VERY long way from something that you could regard as stable to use in a production environment. The only remedy that I know of is to save your scenes at least every ten minutes while working with ascending version numbers in the filename, then at least you can go back WHEN Poser trashes your work for you. (Note that - WHEN not IF)

Yep. The same tired old problem from "Content Hell". Order filled but no download link. Pretty much par for the course with CP, I've found. This has happened to me so many times I can only ask this: Are they complete and utter imbeciles, or do they just enjoy annoying their (few remaining) customers?

I had to uninstall Poser 6, move my downloads folder full of installed content to a safe place, delete the entire Curious Labs folder tree then reinstall P6 from the CD in order to get this f***r to install. So, the boys and girls at e-Frontier have done it again!; causing the absolute maximum inconvenience to their long suffering customers. It's obviously a thing with them - make life hard for the customer and that'll bring 'em rushing back for more ;)

Fails to update my version, which is installed in the right place. I am getting pretty sick and tired of this company. Every single updater that they produce either can't be downloaded or won't install properly. It's time they hired some programmers who know how to program and hired some testers who know how to test! 0 out of 10 customer satisfaction rating from me.

Well, here we are, almost FOUR DAYS after my credit card was debited. Still no download link, despite a promise from CP that the problem would be resolved in 24 hours. I know that lots of people have had no problems, and I've had several previous purchases go through without problems, but the mark of a good company is not how they perform when things are going well, but how they handle things that go wrong. They've failed this test. I have now demanded a refund for my purchase and will do no further business with them.
