For some reason, when I try to save Props with animated poses it has never worked.  However, it is most likely moot, as in the P4 scene, the sword has no real inherent motion of it's own as it is parented to the right hand, and moves with the hand.  I will probably try to keyframe the sword next, and see if that has any effect...but the flames losing their motion as well is really disturbing me, as they are loaded with keyframes to get them to spread down the blade, and flicker (hense all the waves and magnets).  I did spend some time setting this up when I was using the Poser 4 Pro Pack and really do not want to have to go through that ll again.  I decided to ask in these forums as the help I received from Tech support was no help at all (they essentially told me to recreate the scene from the ground up in poser 7).

Just to show what I am working towards, here is a very old render from Poser 4 Pro prior to many of the later adjustments on the figure and the light.  I really want to get this to work in Poser 7, as those flames will look so much better with enhanced ambiance, luminosity, and animated fractal-transparancy from the advanced materials room.

Here's the cap from Poser 7...as you can see, the Everything else is where it should be, except the sword. Okay, well they aren't exactly the same frame, but they are in the same range, and illustrate quite well the sword is not moving, and the flames have lost their animation data too.

Sorry it took so long to grab these, here's the first image cap, and I'll post the next in another reply (it will only let me attach one per post it seems). The file itself is storred in PZ3 (that's how I store all of mine, due to problems I encounter with other software using PZZ). Both Screen caps are from the same frame of the sequence with the hiarchy window open.  I did notice that Poser 7 renamed the sword slightly, so I am thinking it might be a naming issue behind this odd glitch, I will test it later by renaming it in Poser 4 Pro and resaving before loading into Poser 7. I have tried a number of fixes, including reparenting the sword, replacing the sword with the parented sword from the library, and resaving the scene out of Poser 4 after insuring it was still intact and not corrupted.  It works fine in Poser 4 Pro, which was what I originally authored it in, but I was hoping to update and enhance the scene, and render with the improved raytracer of Poser 7.

Ok, I'll grab those later tonight when that machine is free again...I'll also grab a screen from P7 preview of the same file showing where the props are not interacting how they should.  I'll post those as soon as I can.

A pic of the hiarchy window or just of the overall setup?  either way I can get one by later tonight, I have that machine rendering a lightwave scene right now.

When I said imported I simply meant loaded, as it is not the same version of poser it was created in I refered to it as importing(old habit).  It's not a universal problem, as I do have other scenes with props that work just fine when I bring them into poser 7.  It seems I have had nothing but bad luck with poser from version 4 onward.  I always get strange behavior of some sort...with poser 4 it was the rendering engine causing bizarre artifacts all the time.
