Thread: What text editiors open what files? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you're on a Mac and don't want to buy BBEdit for whatever reason, TextEdit will open uncompressed Poser files. It's slow, but I have worked with it successfully. I suppose one could also run vi via the Terminal, but all I have to say to that idea is ACK! (I'm not very good with vi anyway.)
Thread: Anyone else's carpal tunnel syndrome increase by using Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My RSI got a lot better once I started using my laptop's track pad left-handed. Sometimes I do get carried away and fall back into using my right hand out of decades of habit, but offloading some of the work to my left hand helps immensely. Coral calcium supplements are good too.
Thread: Dynamic Hair Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Are you clicking on the head first to make sure it's selected? That really tripped me up in the beginning when I tried to use the hair room; I'd try to create a new hair group and it would never stick. I don't know how I figured it out, and the manual was vague on this point.
Thread: in cr2, why delta files have "e" in them? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It looks like scientific notation. Saves space over writing the two numbers as -0.0000349991 and -0.00000200048 respectively. Just saves having to write out a lot of zeros for very large or very small numbers.

Thanks. You have a truly impressive array of links in general, from what I've seen. :) I'll go check these out.

Wow, great idea. I never thought of saving cloth simulations as morphs. goes off to give it a try
Thread: question on posing and cloth room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Did you create a second sim for the second cloth/figure combo? If you accepted the default name "Sim_1" for the first cloth, then I would suggest you click New and have Sim_2 be for the second cloth.
Thread: Now that you ALL have Poser 5 ... easy ClothRoom tut inside! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is a nice and easy-to-follow tutorial. I'd already learned the principles but wish I could've read this one sooner. What if you assembled all ten images into a single .pdf file?
Thread: Poser World - Worth It? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
How's the clothing selection for Don and Judy? Those are the only figures I have right now, but I like working with them in the Face Room so I'd be interested in dressing them better.

Excellent. I can play around with both of those things to get what I need. Phantast, what node do you plug the bitmap into for best results?
Thread: question on dynamic clothing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Maybe what some of us need are tutorials on workflows! I've been making a dress to fit a Judy figure with breast implants and PhilC's idea for how to do it has worked the best for me.
