I'm deeply impressed by this very sad news. Peedy always answered my questions and she undoubtly must have been a kind, nice and helpful person. My wife and I wish that Corrie rest in peace.

For me Ultra Fractal is my main tool, but sometimes, when my inspiration in UF is over, I change to Fractal Explorer for some time.  It works refreshing and after some time my feelings for UF are back again.  The further development  of FE has been stopped, that's a very pity.  I know there are so many possibilities but there also wishes (e.g. easier rotation, application of layers).  I don't know if the FE-code is free now, according to the FE site we have to pay a lot of money for it.  This, together with the rights, prevents further development by others.  One of my question marks is: what can be the reason that the results when using the same formulas (e.g. Talis var.1) are so different in FE and UF?  I'm not the only one who wonders, Toby Marshall also does.

Hi Newpy,

I don't recognize the problems you mentioned.  Are they restricted to FE or do you have the same experiences with other fractal software, UF or others? You can save FE images in gif, jpg, and even in bmp. In that latter case you don't heave loss of ony color information.
I mostly save in jpg format and then I don't have problems when postprocessing using Paint Shop Pro 9.  Maybe the cause of blurring will be in Photoshop Elements?  But in that case you also the same problems with UF and other fractal software.

Thanks for choosing this week my "Fragmented Spiral", a great honour.
It's the third one in the FWW made by my new Barnsley DeLuxe formula.  This formula is the result of some of my own ideas in combination with those of at least three other authors.  Before sharing it with you at the UF database, I should like to have the "nihil obstat" of all. Most of them have already given their consent, only one is missing, so we have to be patiently.  If I cannot contact the last one I have to rewrite the formula before sharing it.
