Not only is his artwork top-notch, he also makes some great music. His latest album, Meteora, is kickin! Ahem, sorry about that. Couldn't resist...

"...we check the marketplace first, before we are going to upload a free item. Just to respect the merchants work and their profits." Am I the only one bothered by this comment? Rather than raising the quality of the items being sold in the marketplace, we expect the people posting freestuff to limit the selection and quality so as to not interfere with merchants profits?

If you are looking for a contest that has finished (and its no longer displayed on the Front Page), you might want to look in the Contest Archives. You can get to it from the side bar (look for Contests under the Highlights section), or click on the attached link.Thread: Congrats ARCHETYPE!!! 2nd Place In the Halloween contest! | Forum: Bryce
Thanks everyone! To be honest, pidjy's model really made this pic. All I did was throw around some blood spatter, a few ghosts and a doll. Id like to thank pidjy for making such an impressive model. As for Bryce, I've enjoyed it since version 2. It's the most flexible program in its price range and my work is all the better because of it.
Thread: hi Clint I have two Questions.. | Forum: Community Center
It's not just a matter of viruses. With an EXE file, a malicious programmer could do just about anything with your system. They could set up a spy program that records your passwords, they can wipe your system, or they can even take over your system and use it in an attack on other systems. Anti virus programs won't help in these cases. That's why executables can be so dangerous. You may never even know your computer has been compromised.

I think allowing EXE files in the free stuff is a very bad idea. I will not load any executable unless I am 100% certain of the integrity of the source. Since anyone can post in the Free Stuff area (and there is no checking of any of the files submitted), I see a huge risk in allowing EXE files and the viruses they can transmit. Presumably an EXE file in the Marketplace has already been tested and verified as virus-free (they are checked, right?)

I'd like to add my congrats as well. Your submission was wonderfully creative pidjy! It should've been higher on the runner-up list.

There is an extra http:// that you need to remove to see it. I've attached the URL to the working pic. Hobbit was voted the Renderosity Artist of the Year for 2001 so he is understandably a master at this. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
