I would love to see Maya added to rederosity. They have about every 3d program on here, whey not Maya too?
Besides I use maya all the time, and it would be nice to have some good stuff recources, shaders, plugins, shelves, all the sweet stuff, for maya.
Thread: Bryce 5 vs. Vue 4 | Forum: Vue
I own both programs. I have had bryce 5 longer than vue 4, and what i would say is to purchase Vue 4 over bryce 5.
Vue is a TON better, much more flexible, better materials, much better layout. As far as beautiful realistic 3d scenery goes Vue is much better at doing the job, vue also renders better, It even has a very nice lense effect setup. Plus if you like to animate anything, it is harder than crap to animate in bryce, to get smooth motion and everything. Vue does smooth motion automatically, with a much better key frame design to work with. Even has preset animated water, skys, clouds. Vue 4 is just a ton better and it's positeves out weigh bryce by far. what more can i say. Vue also keeps texture coordinance on the models perfectly when you import from you 3d max or Maya.
Don't make my mistake and buy bryce. I never use it anymore now that i have vue.
Thread: The Vue 5 Wish List! | Forum: Vue
Something I would like to see in upcoming vue releases is the ability to Lock on a object, or multiple objects, like in 3d max. and also Object ID's, like in max, which would help a ton in complex scenes organization, controling plants and that sort. The layer organization tool is awsome but object id's would take it one step further.
Also it needs a larger primitive object archive to work with, which need modifiers you can use such as taper, extrude, at least we would be a little less limited on the modeling part, so everything you need that is not in vue has to be imported.
