Yes it did but I can't remember the exact wording. I think it said it was the wrong kind of file.

Thread: What's Happening to the Main Bryce Gallery?? | Forum: Bryce
I have been a brick a mortar art gallery visitor for many years. I didn't feel I could give any critic of the art work there, but I could express my opinion... I just spent more time at the pieces I liked.
Here at renderosity when I see pieces that I think need help I some times would like to give a critic. I don't. I feel that so many members might think that I am not qualified to question their creativity. I think that this feeling might be typical of the members here. It takes a very special person to be able to teach some one. they have to both tell them what they are doing wrong and how to do it right... And at the same time boost their creativity. A suggestion. At the beginning of each thread place a large announcement encouraging us be kind and say whats wrong with this art.
Thread: adding texture to library | Forum: Bryce
thank you very much clay for your response ... I have to apologize for not having made my question clear... it's not the material presets that I would like to add a texture too but the texture library. I've made a material using more than one component which I would like to add to the texture library and then I could open that texture in the material lab as one component and the proceed to build a new more complex material... is this just a pipe dream?
I hope this question is more understandable and will appreciate any responses.
Thread: Recreating another Artist's work | Forum: Bryce
Thank you bobbystar for taking a look. I've been working at it for quite a while, I'm thinking of showing it as a work in progress. Also I would thank Quest for the photo of the subject, it's practically the same view point.

Thank you all so much for your responses. I've decided to finish my "imitation" of mister Nisbet's painting. I know that there will be much to learn about how he achieved the beauty and mystery in such a simple a quiet scene. I probably wont post the work though.
I hope that some of you will take the time to look at his website that I mentioned above.

Thread: why are all those poser figures so...so.. | Forum: Bryce
thank you guys for this discussion... though it hasn't gotten thru to me yet. My thought is how come the painting masters of the past and present could paint such people that their humanity and souls were unquestionably there on the canvas.

Thread: Bryce is DEAD | Forum: Bryce
Heres my two cents . I look at Bryce as a tool. To say that bryce is dead is like saying that my oil paints are not working too good and that their manufacture should develop them more. Perhaps then my art work would be so much better.

I learned this in 3D Commune when it had many many masters of Bryce, that when you are in the (Terrain editor) and you have clicked the (Pictures) tab in the (Editing Tools) panel and then have clicked (Copy} your picture will be in the clip board. You can then open your pict in photoshop and after you have applied a filter or etc., and saved it as a bmp.You can then import it to Bryce as follows...Open the Terrain editor...In the (Editing Tools) panel, click the button on the left (Picture. note. this is not the Pictures under the tab Editing tools!) locate the file you have just saved and click it. You will then have a smooth and clean terrain. I work on a Mac. and my software is Bryce 6.1 and PS C3.
