Thread: Poser 7 Render Issues | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sygnus,
Were you ever able to fix this problem by merely reducing the min shading rate?
carodan,
Can you describe in more detail the problem with using displacement maps with texture filtering?
If you're still having problems in these areas please submit a ticket to Tech Support so e frontier can work on nailing down under what conditions the problem crops up. Thanks.
Thread: Everytime I click "add runtime" poser 6 exits. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That Quicktime+Poser problem was fixed back in SR1 or SR2.
try removing your library prefs at: runtime/prefs/"LibrayPrefs.xml" file.
sometimes it gets hosed.
Of course, you'll have to add all your external libraries again. Or if it doesnt help you can always just toss the same prefs back in there again...
If you're on a Mac, make sure the permissions arent messed up, maybe Poser cant get the permissions to write the changes to the LibraryPrefs.xml file and this is choking it to death. If seen weird stuff happen because of situations like this. Use Apple's Disk Utility to fix permissions. Or manually make the Poser folder recursively accessible using the Get Info box onteh Poser folder.
Thread: Minimizing is this a P6 bug? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This kind of redraw problem differs quite a bit according to the graphics adapter card being used. When this occurs, you can usually force the buffer to be redrawn by minimize/maxmimize Poser. You should also make sure you install the latest drivers for your card. What are your graphics card specs?
Thread: Render Problem with Poser5 files in Poser6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Its hard to determine which of the above posts fixed your problem. Please let us know what worked. Thanks! If the problem was merely missing textures, you should be able to fix that by Add the Poser5 runtime (and any other libraries you had linked in Poser5) to the Poser 6 library, then it should find them when you open up in Poser 6.
Thread: Can't set render dimensions for animations | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
just pick "full (200 x 240)" from the "resolution" popup menu in the Make Movie dialog. It sounds like your interpreting where it says "preview size (some odd size)" as some option thats not enabled, when actually that specifies your actual output resolution. Poser can be a little ambiguous in these ways. hopefully thats all it is, if you still see a problem contact their tech support so they will fix it.

On the Make Movie screen, you probably set the "Resolution" field to 200 x 240. Make sure that you also set the popup menu below it to not read "Preview Size" or you'll end up with what you described. Select "full (200 x 240)" from the popup menu.

have you tried removing your runtime/prefs/"LibraryPrefs.xml"? its worth a try. You can also remove the other two files as well (poser ui prefs and poser.ini). just dont remove the folders. Poser will create new 'factory state' prefs files next launch. You can always put the old ones back if it doesnt help and go try something else.
