Hi Thanks, yes I use that option, i've done loads of normal animations and they are fine with the physics and with a box, but it's when i use a bvh and a moving (animated box) is when the poserman goes up in the air on frame one :(

Hi :) glad you liked it :) I shot on a cheap mini dv 350 panasonic camera 1ccd. I normaly edited on studio 7 ( 50 editing sofware that comes with a capture card ) The last 2 films i've made i then take the finished avi, and add the sound fx's in vegas 4 ( where i make the 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack ) I live near heathrow so the planes fly over every 30 secounds so the script has to be 20 secounds before i have to cut. I got poser 3 on a magazine over a year ago and tried other 3D software but just couldn't get my head round it, so I only use poser and bryce :( After effects is where i apply the 3D with live action, and after effects is what i'm using to make the 3D version ( with extra footage ) of smoothnecks, we suplly glasses if people buy the dvd. Wow, thanks for the response :) very kind. If your sure you don't mind ;) If you would like to look through the script for D&D link attached. At the moment I have no models for the film, in the script there is thing's like a galleon ship, monolith etc. I have brought daz hydra for poser. The finished film will be the first in the world ( amatuer ) to be turned into a cartoon in post production, i'm kinda hoping that's worth a few pages in someone's book :-/ Once again thanks :) IanThread: Starship Troopers full film finished with thanks. | Forum: Bryce

If you liked "Smoothnecks" have a look at our Call it a stargate series, once again the fx's are only poser and bryce but they have the same fun bits in there :)

Hi Sorry, never needed to make a list as such, the end credits has the people's names. 95% of the models came from here, except the 4th stargate episode where a guy called Chris Brizon made the stargate from lightwave. If you need more info please just ask. Ian

hi I'm the maker :) Thanks for the comments, we have spent 87 on Smoothnecks and yes the costumes are a let down but the story is set before the movie and will make scense when viewed. I kinda pride myself on the fact that I don't spent money on the films ( i haven't got any ) but I can then say if people like what i've done with nothing then just think what i could do with some money. You guys are the real artists, keep up the good work. Ian

Thankyou so much for the kind replies. I'll move this to the poser forum ( sorry ) I wish I could learn the other programs and maybe oneday, it's took me a year just to get what I do now :( and if it wasn't for you guys there would be no free "stargate" "Starship Trooper bug" "spaceships" etc. Thanks once again. (sorry me again ) I must just add that the only software I use is bryce and Poser. Anyone with CGI skills who would like to help out on our next film "Dungeons and Dragons requiem" based on the cartoon and will be the last episode that never got made but had a script written before it was canceled. thanks that's all i want, i've looked but can't find many. i thought i was the only one that used poser for animation I know they are not the best, it seemed the one way to get someone to look at them. if you know any links to other animated films i would love to know. thanks for feedback

also I have made 2 stargate fanfilms that use poser a lot. Didn't know if you was interested in seeing them http://www.petendom.co.uk/sg1/ Just to give an idea where poser was used in the frist film " call it a stargate " the t-rex, the space ships, the transporter rings, the stargate side shot in Earthbound, the tank, the Ashrak, the Unknown ship + other bits.
