Quote - > Quote - but were you doing more faster with poser?
The short answer to your question is....no. I had to actually buy a video tutorial to understand Poser.
I had Poser 7 but it felt sooo cumbersome that I got frustrated and just used it only to fix Poser files that did not work properly in Daz Studio.
Then recently I upgraded to Poser 8Pro because the interface looked so much more streamlined for work flow. To me Poser 8Pro definitely felt like a vast improvement over Poser 7 (and more stable).
However for speed of learning and also setting up complex scenes Daz Studio still felt faster.
what poser tutorial did you get was it worth it the one I have is photoshop and poser it's quite good will get there are two others I may get ( one has yet to be released) and am looking into poser pro poser pro 2010 looks sweet too, but, will wait til micro smith has a sale on it

I have bryce but so far just able to make water scenes and mountains as for daz don't use it because I have poser which has a lot more teaching aids out there, so I can use the software to it's full potential if daz were to come out with some of those it would get used more ( not their tutorials that are more like commercials for their products also poser didn't have multi installers to weed through
Thread: Carrara 8 pro warning | Forum: Carrara
the application is /applications/daz3d/carrara8 64 bit but when you get the native it's /applications/daz3d/carrara 8 it doesn't have the 64 bit and if you put the 64 bit on the end it still comes up 32 bit. I installed it but can't find the native in the applications where it should be.
everything seems to work except I can't get the paint to download
Thread: Carrara 8 pro warning | Forum: Carrara
now that the "learning carrara 8" has shown up I see why you like the program, except for the crashes.
anyway will have to download some daz figures, props etc.
hope windows 7 shows up next week.
I have a question about native content I loaded it but it doesn't show up in applications like it kept doing when I was having troubles with it not going into the 64 bit, but was saying 32 bit even after using the 64 bit installer.
One final stupid question about downloading what is the "correct destination" I keep hearing about? is it the default "/users/ my name/documents/Daz 3d/studio 3/ or is it something totally different?

Thread: DAZ Studio 3.0 - HELP! | Forum: DAZ|Studio
here's a stupid question, but coming from someone who is self teaching I'll have to start somewhere
I am having trouble downloading content I get the default destination which when used sends the downloads to a place I can't use withing the program- I don't think it's even in the program proper the tutorials keeping saying send it to the "correct destination" but are mum on where that might be so what is the correct destination? Also, have Bryce 6 and Carrara 8 hope they don't have a steep learning curve one final thing why does Daz 3d have so many installers I mean really Poser has one for mac and one for windows on different discs it was very easy to load.
There's another thread here that says Daz is better than Poser but until it written material to help users it's just another program.
Thread: Carrara 8 pro warning | Forum: Carrara
don't feel bad the carrara 8 I have will not and I mean will not install to 64 bit on my mac pro the techs have given me all the installers and none of them will do 64 bit If someone out there has any ideas or an installer that might work I'm all ears the only thing that does work from them is Bryce 6 and that is only in 32 bit ( at least it is on my mac

it maybe better, but I have yet to get it to download to my mac pro there are all sorts of freebie downloads that i would love to try.
something to do with the installers I am told by computer friends.
poser 7,8 and pro 2010 didn't have any problems downloading
