one more quick question, is assinging groups in max basically giving the selected faces a named selection or material id? or should I use the group tool in max? grouping in max seems to be alot different than in poser. thanks again B

wow! .prj is old school hehe max doesnt use these as base file formats. this extension was used back before max in the 3d studio 1-4 days when one would save a whole scene as a project and only save individual models as .3ds... B

if you already have a copy of max3 you should be able to get an upgrade to max 5 for I think 1500... that may be just about the same to you as 3500 hehe but if you already have max 3 Id stick with it. Max rocks! hehe

Well what can I say Bastiff Belial is my handle. Been using that handle since the old BBS days when I was in junior highschool. hehe. I am a 3d artist by trade. I work for a small art /engineering house in the north bay. (california) For work I mostly model low poly playstation 2 art work for use in a promotional advertising DVDs. I would suppose if you ever got the official playstation magazine with the DVD inside it, then more than likely you have seen my artwork displaying the demos on that disk :) More pleasure I like to model super heroines similar to what TravisB posted above (very nice 3d translation of Fengs art by the way TravisB). I started as a simple doodler but always knew I would one day be a professional artist. well here I am. attached is a drawing that I doctored up in photoshop that I drew oh about 5 or six years ago...
