I'd love to see a thread outing all the DAZ celebrities. I can only identify about half of them.

I have also had this issue. I do not know if SR1 really addressed the issu or not. It does not matter if you have the big runtime in another folder, or your main runtime. When you switch to the complex folder, it happens. While waiting for SR1, I broke my runtimes down into several different folders. It works, but it is a pain switching back and forth. I was going to try going back to one runtime, but your experience tells me to stick with my multiple runtimes.

Barry W, Did you get beachball from Hell when you first started? If so, there was a lot of memory paging to start. Try rerunning render immediately after first run and see the difference.

Mac G5, dual 2 Ghz, 2.5 GB RAM, Safari, Mail, iCal, Virex, Retrospect, MacConverter(and thus Classic) all running. Was doing Finder workin foreground as render went. 5 min, 47 seconds first time. 3 min, 23 seconds second.

Wow, That sounds nasty. I hate to say it, but I'd guess the problem to be a bad graphics card. I have nothing like this with mine: G5 2x2GHz 2.5 Gigs RAM ATI graphics OXS 10.3.5 Poser 5 SR4 If your machine is new, then that is where I'd check first with your local genius. They will hopefully have a less crappy idea, but unless I'm mistaken, a bum card could be responsible for both problems....

When and where did you get the Mac version? I have not seen it, and it isn't in my account page, just the PC version!
