For an artist to survive, he/she needs to be pretty thick-skinned, especially when regularly posting work to a forum which literally invites criticism. I suggest not worrying too much about the negative comments, and not speculating on the "real" reason you get them. You can't please everybody, and that's okay. You also don't need to rationalize the way you do what you do - if you're pleased with your results then the hell with what anybody else says.

Thanks Jeff. If you're the JeffH who did the "New 5" and "Omni" hair, you deserve extra points too. (Is anybody keeping track of all these points?)

It's rendered in Poser. There are two spotlights, one's red and one's sort of a light grey. Spotlights are probably my favorite feature in Poser 4.

Thread: Its Thursday... Another Morph World Update | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Personally, I prefer to be notified every five minutes, since that's how often you churn out morphs. In fact, I want a subscription; I want the morphs delivered to my door so I never have to travel to Morph World again. Seriously, Traveler, whatever you decide is fine by me. Actually, I don't need updates anymore -- yours is the first site I hit every day! Yours in addiction, bill the junkie

Dave-- Click on "Members" and type in JohnW to send him an E-mail. He hasn't posted his shirt but he was willing to E-mail it to me, he'll probably do the same for you.

Please don't, Traveler -- I need my daily fix! I just downloaded your T-shirt, can't wait to try it out. John W sent me his version, which is pretty good, but yours sounds more versatile. Not to be an ingrate, but I was a little disappointed with the smooth brow morph. Maybe I'm not using it right. It seems to shrink the brow portion of the texture map. I guess this is unavoidable, because your morph probably shrinks the vertices in that area. Maybe I just need to tinker with the texture map. Hope I'm not being unnecessarily critical. Just thought you might like some feedback. And please, don't give up on this Forum yet. You are, in my opinion, the best contributor this site has. -bill
Thread: Posable clothing question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had better luck opening the nude figure, posing it, then adding the clothes and conforming them to the figure. Keep in mind, though, that you won't always be pleased with the results. Some of the clothes conform to the figure just fine with little or no tweaking, others require a lot of dial-turning. Some just won't work with certain poses, and if you add a lot of clothing to one scene, you better have a lot of RAM or weird things start happening. Love the clothing, but it's far from perfected.
Thread: Gray poser figures in Bryce | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That's interesting because when I import a Poser-exported OBJ Bryce NEVER asks me to locate the texture; sometimes the figure shows up with a texture and sometimes it doesn't. Mystifying. Anyway, if you're not sure how to apply a texture to a Poser Figure in Bryce the Poser 4 manual has a detailed description (p. 328-331). Hope this is of some help; I realize I didn't answer your question directly but I don't know the answer myself. -bill
