Thread: P5 Startup: From 5:17 to 1:20, on OSX | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Lucifer Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try. I did try replacing the Runtime folder with an alias, but that crashed poser everytime. As for me, my Runtime is around 9gb, with my texture folder being 4gb of it. When I did my tests, I didn't have anything else running, but usually my browser, mail, and itunes are on when I start up poser.

Thanks Mateo There is a Java based utility in the Free Stuff pages that worked for me. BTW, it's called RTEJava.

The movie you all are thinking of is the 1975 horror flick "Trilogy of Terror" staring Karen Black.

Mateo Sancarlos... I have no problem with giving Poser 5 a chance, but in it's present state, it doesn't justify to me a reason to spend money for the update (even though in my opinion it's a good price). Later on, when the bugs are worked out and the P5 figures get morphs. Forgive me if I'm a bit skeptical about a patch for the hair, especially for exporting to Bryce. I don't see how that could work, but then again, I'm not a programmer, just an artist. Hopefully, the bug fixes will carry onto the Mac version whenever it's finally ready to premiere. In the meantime, I'm still as happy as a flea on a dog with my Poser 4. DavidH

Hey Margue. Here's a Creeper Tex and Bump I created a while back. Totally forgot I even had it. Anyways, good luck with your Re-install. DavidThread: Parasite: Anyone interested | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Nuke for fixing the problem with the figure. I did recieve Terry's message the other day, messed with the files myself but didn't come to any solutions. The only thing I can think of was that the file may have been corrupted somehow in converting it into PC format. Since I created this figure on a Mac, I had to run it through a converter to change formats. I don't recall if I used Martin's Maconverter (an older version) or with applescripts. In any case, thanks for the fix. And Nuke, you have all the permission I can muster in uploading it to the Fun Stuff pages. Thanks DavidH

OK, I created a quick web page to download the figure, since NBCI doesn't allow image linking. http://members.nbci.com/dh_designs/downloads/parasite.html DavidH NOTE: This is the same figure that was originally included with the Assasin 5 figure, it hasn't been altered, so if you got it way back when, well, this is the same file.Thread: No bones about it (request) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks ya' all. I figured these kind of items would be hard to come across. Time to break out Sherlock, and scower the net. DavidH

On top of that is the MacInstaller. Which will place the files into the appropriate Runtime folders. Saving you the time of placing them yourself. It's at the same site.

I purchased Poser 1 from a student catalog back when the program came on three floppy disks. I used them as base images which I took into PhotoShop and "painted" over. Also to use as statues in Bryce scenes I did. DavidH
Thread: What text program can open a CR2 on a Mac? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As a Mac user, I've been a bit envious of the way Windows will allocate more RAM to an app. But if the rumors are true, OS X will add this feature to the Mac. As related to Poser, it may help limit crashes when opening a large file and not having enough RAM allocated to the program. Here's hoping. DavidH
