@Cybermonk - downloaded and checking it out. Did a quick sculpt, saved it out as an .obj, and imported into blender 2.76b. It's all good. Might be handy for some things, but need to spend a little time with it. From first impression, it appears to be a decent app.

This may be a stupid observation, but in looking at your selected object I see Andy2 and 2_SkinTorso. I may be old and senile, but man! That ain't andy2! What am I missing?

Thread: M4 Morphs ++ - Troubles Trying to Install | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I appreciate all the advice. I am working diligently to apply the suggestions. My concern right now is the fact that there are broken images in my runtime which 3dcheapskate reports as corrupted files. I could use a little input on THAT advice! It isn't any wonder that they may be corrupted. I have tried about everything my poor little pea brain can imagine to remedy this situation.
@**WandW ** your suggestion about using the DAZ Install Manager is a good one. However, it will not work for me because of the multiple runtimes I have and the way they are organized. If the manager would let you choose install path, then your suggestion would have great merit.
So I am back to square one. I am working on this and i won't give up until I get the answers I need. If I am anything, it is tenacious...

@Glitterati3D - your method works best for me as I can visually see the content in the folders when I place them side by side. I had noticed the Content folder but didn't give it a lot of thought. Hopefully I can work this out.
@3dcheapskate - M4 does load okay, but originally I had a very hard time getting him installed. It took several attempts, and M4 still has problems with different textures which are darker on his thighs and lower legs. One thing I am seeing now which I did not see before. The ,png files are not showing in the library, and I am instead getting the broken image icon. Now poser is telling me that the morph ++ file is not a valid poser file. Just for a cheap thrill I copied/pasted a copy of the Inj Morph ++ All file in to the folder as a copy. It has the image of the shrugging man and I am told that this is also not a valid poser file. I am at a loss here. I am getting pretty frustrated with the whole mess, and wishing I still had my old Win XP machine and Poser 7! Ah, but we must move forward...

@hborre - I am aware of that shortcoming in Win7 after seeing it here a million times, but thanks for reminding me anyway. It doesn't seem to matter where I try to place the content - it doesn't show up and there is no indication of it being anywhere in any of the runtimes. Something is just not kosher here and I am getting totally frustrated with this. I had not originally installed Morphs ++ for M4 but bought them and attempted to install them at the time I bought the new content from mortemvetus. Actually, I seldom ever use M4 but I have been reading a lot about characters lately that have inspired me to buy the mortemvetus content with some ideas for renders I would like to do. This should be a simple operation and I have had no difficulties before this. I am wondering if I need to replace the Poser ini file? Do you think this might help fix the problem? This tired old man is fresh out of ideas...

Thread: feedback asked on tutorials concept | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have to agree wholeheartedly with cedarwolf - a combo pdf and video tutorials is the best way for me to learn. I have not had good experiences with video training, as the trainer always seems to assume you know how to do this or that, etc. It is not always the case for me. I have subscribed to video tutorials such as the ones offered on CGCookie.com. I am subscribed in their blender program and I must say their training leaves a great deal to be desired. The trainers talk to fast, or have an accent that is hard to understand. i have found they make mistakes and are sometimes corrected, sometimes not. If the training is provided also in pdf format, I can usually work out what is going on. With just the videos, however, I find them very lacking in learning and understanding. It usually boils down to how good the presenter is at presenting.
Cost for me is not an issue if the price is reasonable and the training worth what it is priced at. I learned a long time ago that to get decent training, you usually have to pay for it. One expects dollar value for their money in any case.
I have read through some of your Missing Manuals on several occasions. I found them helpful and easy to understand. A similar presentation along with a decent video tutorial would be exactly my cup of tea.

As a strtuggling artist with very poor vision, I find it amazing that peope with a lot of design knowledge fail to take into account that there are people like myself. I find this in many things, not just the site design here. I took the plunge and bought PP2014 when it was on sale, and I am having a terrible time using it because the GUI is designed in such a way that it is almost impossible for me to see. The navigation icons on the top of the preview window used for moving and rotation and rendering are so dark I struggle to find them. The overall dark gray color is absolutely horrid to me. I could care less if I were able to change them to suit my eyesight. But I find nothing in the general preferences that allow me to do so. It is just an example of the many things people like myself have to deal with. I have no vision in my left eye and cataracts and glaucoma in the right. None of that is conducive to the way things are designed. White radio buttons with black text as I see here in the forum for navigation work. So much other things don't. When I worked in social services I took certification courses in ADA. I learned a lot about what faces people with disabilities. Why is it that designers seem to care less about people like me?

I would think these would be very easy to model. The only problem I can see is finding the appropriate textures.

Thread: Interface Issue in Blender 2.70a | Forum: Blender
@heddhead - set things as you advised but the problem still persists, although there does seem to be some improvement. Scratching my old bald head over this one! It has to be in the settings somewhere. I am using an MS USB dual receiver wireless mouse if it makes any difference. I had to putz with it in initial setup because the middle mouse button was set to "flip" the pages when clicked. It doesn't do this any longer. I am going to try a PS2 mouse to see if it makes any difference. Outside of that, I am open to suggestion...

Thread: Bug or beginner's problem? | Forum: Blender
I never run Blender from an exe file, instead downloading it as a zip and extracting to a folder. I then pin the blender exe file to my start menu. I have read somewhere before to do this, and can't remember the reason why. Regardless, it always works well for me. What Lobo says makes sense. I usually find that if I am having these issues it is because my settings are for a trackball instead of a 3-button mouse. A good hint is to get Blender working as you want it to and then when opening a newer version import the settings. That alone has saved me a lot of grief. I have limited vision, and alway use the Blender 2.4 interface theme from presets because it is much brighter and easier to read. I have just had a very powerful computer built for me that makes a great deal of difference in Blender performance. With 32 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro K2000 vid card, it makes all the difference in the world. It runs Win 7 - after the horrible experiences I have had working with Win 8.1 on my wife's desktop and tablet, I am glad I opted for Win 7. At 70 years of age, I am thinking this computer should last me for the rest of my life. My thanks to Lobo for the info on the two different sites to download Blender from...
