Got this very same problem. And I already contacted Poser's Support. Their official answer was "oopsie, we have no idea a new OS was comin'!" So apparently, Poser is no longer compatible with MAC OS until a patch is developed sometime in the future:If your Poser 11 or 12 is broken by the MacOS Sonoma 14 upgrade, please let us know by opening a Support ticket at https://support.posersoftware.com.

To get everything pushed towards poser12, it can become a tedious task, but that's doable.
Thanks for your suggestions Y-Phil. I tried them all, and some other suggested by Poser's support team. This problem has been solved, thank you. There's a couple of hidden folders named F6C5GMLRY9.poser, and Poser.savedState. Once I trashed the first folder complete, and the contents of the second, Poser was able to open any file with no problem at all. This solution has already added to Poser's Knowledge Base

Ty Phil. I followed your suggestions, but unfortunately nothing changes. I even made copies, exported the problematic file, saves as, etc, but no. For some reason, the files that cannot be opened with poser 12, crash immediately.
The bright side, I can still use Poser 11 to work with those.

Thanks, this issue has been resolved. the culprit was a hidden file in the system named F6C5GMLRY9.poser
As soon as I deleted it, the render engine worked again.

Real humans would be great!.
I found another one, a fat couple... but really, besides about five at most, there are no real people around. Most vendors are concentrated on big boobed girls. It's pretty hard to find normal persons.
