It's a very amusing thread to watch.
Some of those meshes have more polys than than sense but that's part of the learnin' curve.,
Not using or having no access to Delaunay mesh must be driving thoses CPU's crazy !!!

If you use the common Poser type mesh you will find your garment will show creases and
distortions in a horrible way. This is seen especially where the garment may collide with either itself or where it may collide with the ground or some other prop.
Also because of the calculations involved, you will find that "chicken wire" clothing will take about twice as long to calculate than it should !!
Your mesh should not be a uniform or "chicken wire" type.
This type can be seen as nice neat squares, sometimes triangulated, but stll looking like a "wire fence".
In real life cloth has a very random pattern and that's why cloth when created for 3D must follow this randomness in order to look and perform correctly. Delaunay mesh is a name given to this "correct" mesh and it is a simple task to convert your linear type mesh to this type.
3dsMax has a modifier that will perform this function at a click of a button.
If you don't use Max then I'm sure your application will have a similar function.
Try it and be surprised at the way your cloth looks and performs dynamically !

Hi,
Good idea.
How about a wireframe showing the mesh setup you're using. Both for the cloth and for the buttons.
Plus how did you "attach" the buttons..? Seperate mesh or part of the whole object or parenetd perhaps.?

Good post Dizzi.
I'd say that Poser users are unique in that 99% of them are using "Game cards" in their hardware, never set up correctly, and will always have these "odd" things occuring ion previews.
Poser is really just a play thing for most. It can be much more but it can also demand some better opengl hardware for proper and smooth results.

I've searched just about all renders in this Poser site and none come close to the one mentioned.
I believe Poser CAN achieve tis level of realism if one was really patient and dedicated.!
I'm not.

It can look nice if one randomly selects a few vertices and
adds another small group to create a different, less mathmatical look to the outcome.
A few thinner and bendier strands added in can give a more "organic" feel to the render.

These pics show the Poser7 hires prim.plane selected as the hair group and the "hair" colour changed to suit.
Its a great way of making 3D grass and very very quick to render.
The "puppet" I made was for a kiddies show and again the Poser7 hair room came to the rescue with almost believable "straw".
The curly fella was jus for fun and consisted of over 100000 hairs!
Even the opengl card had fun when rotating this in the preview window !!
A normal games card just froze straight away.
