Flame is zoomed in for me. I think you may be looking at the editor window, which shows it not zoomed in, but when it renders in the main window it is zoomed in.
Thread: Has anyone tried UF4? | Forum: Fractals
Being an animation junkie, this upgrade from 3 to 4 was a no brainer for me. But also, like stevoid says, the explorer feature ROCKS!! It is so much nicer to be able to run the mouse over areas and see the changes instantly in the preview window. Besides the animation, this is the best new feature in UF4. If you have UF3, you'll be doing yourself a creative favor by upgrading.

I've done animations with UF & Apo. I use the animation render script in apo and UF has a stand alone animator that is in beta testing when I used it. Here's a UF animation I posted here awhile ago: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=889968&Start=1&Artist=crazywitko&ByArtist=YesAnd for a few other animations of mine you can view them by clicking the link in this post.

Thread: And the Renderosity Artist of the Month is... | Forum: Fractals
Thread: Hot 20 suggestions | Forum: Fractals
I never really paid much attention to the Hot20 after the first couple of weeks posting here. I would have, and still would like an image of mine to make it there by it's merits alone, but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. I do this form of art because "I" like it, and I liked it so much I just wanted to share it with others. If anybody else likes it too, well that's cool, and hopefully they will tell my why..or why they don't like it. I don't have the whole day, or night for that matter to spend on this site wondering if an image of mine will make the Hot20. It would be a nice feature for this community, but it definately needs to be tweaked. The biggest thing I think that would help is to limit "1" image for a particular artist into it at one time, and to limit how long they are in there by 5 days. I would hope that that would be enough to rotate ALL artists who post here into it at sometime or another. In my opinion, everyone has done a good enough work of art to go into the Hot20, but not every image they've ever done. Even Van Gough had a bad day..LOL I've enjoyed posting to, and veiwing in this gallery. I will continue to do so with or without a Hot20. I'll leave the politics to someone else. Hope it gets worked out and this will become a non subject in the future. Doug
Thread: Animated Apohysis? | Forum: Fractals
Yes..you can render animations. You get the animation by first...creating a folder named 'renders' on your c drive. Then use the Animation Render script to create the bmps which will be located in the renders folder you created. You will need PSP or a similiar program capable of putting the bmps together for the animation. You can look at the script and change where your renders go, how many frames you want, etc. It's an easy script with instruction written in to modify it to your liking. Hope this answers your question. Happy animating!! I have a few I've done and can be seen here... http://www.crazywitko.com/page6.html

There are quite a few FE images posted in the gallery...take a look and judge for yourself if it would be worthwhile to you. In my opinion it's right up there with the best, and is quite user friendly.

Thread: slowness of site. | Forum: Fractals
Been slow for about a week for me. Some images pop right up & others never load. I have cable also and thought maybe I had gotten some spyware or something...checked out ok, so it must be the site.
