It's not what you have or how many; it's what you can do with what you have that makes art. If someone can create something incredibly wonderful with P4 and someone can't do squat with P6 and all the goodies, who's better off? It still comes down to what comes out of your head and your imagination and how well you portray it with enough artistic thought and beauty to capture your audience, whether you do that with P4 or P5 or P6 or all three, it's what you can do that matters. All the tools in the world won't 'do that for you' without YOUR thoughts. There's new cars out there that practically drive themselves. Once they get where they do drive themselves we will all forget how to drive and probably just thumb our noses at other folks and make faces at people due to sheer boredom of just being driven around. Now, if they make a Poser version that thinks, we will be in pretty big trouble. Can you imagine?

Dear forum heaven, there's gotta be about ten trolls in this thread alone! Who's minding troll town? Good time to attack the troll homefront and whipe out the whole village! Strange how topics on the hot twenty seems to lure out the worst trolls. There's either a lot of cowards on Renderosity or a lot of members and merchants worried they will lose credibility or sales if they speak out as themselves so they become a bunch of imps for a time, or maybe it's those hot twenty huggers themselves not wanting you to know who they are, turning into nasty aliens. I happen to think most folks want the hot twenty the way it is, the desperate trolling proves it. Gives lots of members something to live for and turn into trolls for. I also think the hot twenty is total bullshit and more about who has the most friends or pays out the best. Nothing to do with creativity. Perhaps Renderosity should have a Troll Gallery and even better yet, a Troll Forum! A place for clones and drones and Trolls to meet! Get them all in there at once, lock the place tight and then hit delete.

Is that anything like a pink elephant? Special drink? Maybe another kind of high or drug effect? Sounds pretty scary. Why is the color association with inebriation always pink? Why always animals? I got a little tipsy once, saw many beautiful blue naked women. Think I might have been browsing the poser gallery here while sipping a bottle of Drambuie. Seeing pink ponies would have made me throw out my Drambuie or change it over to Pepto Bismol.
Thread: *** WARNING *** O.T. - Possible PayPal Scam - Please Read ....... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I read somewhere recently on the internet or in a real live newspaper about some paypal scam like this going around; to be very careful. I guess this must be it in glowing lights and living color. Wish I can recall where I saw the article? Was a week and a half ago I think.

Who's Ironbear? Why would you need to keep your eye on him so much? Better go research this one. Must be a great known artist or very outspoken.

Another fun thread I almost missed. Starting to like this place, entertaining in many ways.
I see a lot of underground DVD's on sale at Wal-Mart everyday, two bucks to three bucks. Bought one once and it was all scratched to hell.
Don't know why you'd want that kind of label. 3D Art should be different and especially on high ground for quality excellence.
The term 'underground' always sounds like dealers and pimps will be pushing it or there's something not quite right with it.

What a strange forum thread. I'd like to say it's fun to read just to see where this is all going, but will that get me into trouble?
If you don't mind me saying what I see, sounds like there are some heavy chips on shoulders flying around here and hot under the collars happening aplenty.
Do you folks have popcorn at this forum too? Think I'll make some and get a tall drink while I'm at it. By the way, just curious, who is this Ironbear? Another former manager? Must be a strong important figure too.

Thread: Is there a tutorial for how to use Renderosity's hair programs\addons | Forum: Community Center
Wow, that's a mouthful.
Alice, hopefully this might clear up some confusion; the white netting/mesh your seeing is the hair, you need to render it to be able to see it, that's how it works because it is a transparency, which makes hair look more realistic in poser with a texture applied. The old style poser hair was that bubblegum plaster like formation gooped on the poser 3 and 4 guys and gals heads that looked like colored gobs of spit or worse, that's probably what your used to looking for.
Listen to the folks here. Take the time to read stuff, look in the poser forum of this website and ask questions there also, and play around with what you buy, I doubt you can break it by trying to learn by trial and error. In the meanwhile, the bald look is getting trendier.

Thread: Website featuring V3 as a 'tour guide'. (shameless plug) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great idea for starters, fix the eyes as suggested and most certainly do create an alternate way to access your website so people have more options.

I believe members here are punning you tooie32, perhaps not taking you serious.
All kidding aside, if your really serious, it would take a long time to create this kind of character in max, let alone morph a look alike face on a poser model using morph targets. We're talking days to weeks of steady talent.
It is possible, but who would take that amount of time and effort from their own work and life to create this for you?
Charging for it, if you were even offering a fee, would be questionable due to celebrity infringement problems.
The best and easiest method anyone could suggest here is that if you have poser and Vickie 3 with all the appropriate morph targets and are able to get a good texture to apply, you can learn to morph this character yourself in poser. Good way to teach yourself poser and the like.
Good luck.

Thread: George Lucas to be Keynote Speaker at SIGGRAPH 2005 | Forum: Community Center
Jar Jar Binks and commercialism ruined the Star Wars fan in many of us. Was a grand three first episodes until rediculous silliness and making money from star wars kiddie fans took precedence over quality and storyline. Now dollar stores everywhere are still trying to peddle Jar Jar Binks keychains and Jar Jar Binks pen toppers and Jar Jar Binks toilet paper. I heard some frazzled bum comment he wouldn't take them free, nevermind pay a buck for them. Same old, same old.
