Or you can go ahead and put to png with/alpha if you need it - and then use quicktime/flash/whatever movie program to bring the frames in and then add audio if needed.
I make many animations and the above are my favs. Just make sure whatever program you bring frames into is the same frame rate as your sound file (or use streaming if for web).

Thread: Mega V3 and M3 guides up at DAZ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
U truely are awesome. Thanx for all of your seam guides. Like beryld - I use them all the time! You have saved me many hours of development time (so guess my clients really should be thanking you as they are the ones not having to pay me for working without your guides!) Again, thanx
Thread: Flash output from Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I utilize animated flash big time for cast characters in director and found best (and most time fastest) way is to set [poser] frame rate/keying to same as flash movie then save as bitmaps (I usually want a transparent background so use png format) not the swf movie since it vectorizes. In flash just insert new symbol movie, Import to stage of new symbol, by selecting the very first frame bitmap and a dialog will open saying - Looks like a series want to import all? Say yes and all will be loaded properly and set evenly on stage. then insert your sound in another layer above the stage - have yet to have this not sinc up and work. Been doing this for around 2 years and actually making a decent living - contracting and working in my PJs at home ;-).
Thread: HOW DO YOU GET HIS PROGRAM | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Actually, if you have a discover card - they can accept that. Least that is what they took for my prepay one year subscription. Was told it was MC and VISA that wouldnt take a prepay for one year of service...

load your character, then select the clothes (double check mark at bottom of menu items will add not replace the original character). Then select the clothes (on bottom right of scene) then do Figure - Conform to and a dialog box will open with other characters [figures] available in scene - left click on drop down box then left click on character to conform to. (sorry, am renown for ending sentences with prepositions)
Thread: Newbie question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
before applying a pose (full or partial) I always make sure I have the main character to which the clothes/props are attached and then to the right of that (bottom of screen) I always select body. This even works if you are using Mimic for talking. If your clothes get rip looks (ie: the flesh of character is showing through) - on properties of the main character - make the body part invisible. Sometimes you cant do this (like when the wrist is showing - you cant make the forearm invisible) so you must putter around with dials of original character (usually a twist for me or put the clothes for different version of a character on current character so need to run through The Tailor (software worth buying) to make the clothes fit this character). If the main character has morphs (young, old, thin, fat, etc.) then the clothes should also have these morphs to work properly when doing animation with conforming clothes. I almost never move/change the clothing dials - I always use the main character and make sure that the same morphing dials are available on the clothes.
Thread: Runtime Library Management in Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I actually bought a harddisk to dedicate to 3D - and created runtime folders for Kids, Vickies, Mikes, House, Industry/Vehicles, Fantasy. Works great even on my lan when I am working from laptop - can access the same libraries as when I am on my desktop. Had a bit of problems with V3 so just upgraded my runtime for V3 base character/morphs in P5 runtime then the Vicky/Stephanie libraries ran just fine from the other harddisk. Why? I dont know.... Is nice to know where all items are; as like with clothes - I did subdirectories off of clothes directory for different characters (like female). Subdirectories off of Vicki for V3, V2, HiModel, etc.
Thread: Newbie question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ooops, as an also, when you have added the character's clothes [with double checkmark at bottom of library menu], select the clothes figure from list of figures (on mine is set at bottom of left side of stage) do a Figure - Conform to... a dialog window will open with your character[s] that you can mold the figure to - select the figure (person) to conform the clothes to and press ok.

Thread: Vicki 2 export question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
pose her sitting - then export the vicki posed out to like say an obj file. When you export - a dialog window [hierarchy] will open up and you will probably want to deselect all then just select the character (no universe or lighting or cameras) and any attachments like clothes or whatever.
Thread: What is the current status of Poser 5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Posing is no big deal but the extras like hair and material and firefly render will most likely cause havoc on your win98. Had another user upgrade to more harddrive, more memory (512meg) and xp home and left all other equipment as is... person has had no problems. Only issue they complained about was they couldnt get their tomb raider 1 to run! Moral, if you want to run win9x games, make a dual boot system. I am using P5 almost exclusively now but did cheat and make a new machine with 1gig mem and hundred's of gigabytes of harddrive dedicated to all my 3d programs (left office stuff on old computer).
Thread: Change AVI default? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When you get everything set up the way you want - make a movie with settings that you want for default (you can cancel after a frame or two is written) then do Edit General Preferences and Launch to Preferred State. I just did it and every new file, every time I reopened poser5 - the settings were exactly as I had set them
