if you want just v4 for her expressions but like the body of v3 here is what i would do instead on trying to weld stuff together that probably will not work...

just place you v3 where you want to..then render her..then place v4 at same place and pose and make sure that neck and head are roughly the same size also try to have a skin for v4 that matches your v3 closely foe the skin saturation......delete v3 and render v4...

go into photoshop and open v3..open v4 then add it on top of you v3 as a new layers and erase the part of v4 you do not like leaving only the stuff you want to see from the 2 plates...merge the layers and clean up any non matching artifacts.

If you are just doing one image i think that is what i would do...i did not try this myself...god knows why but i think i would do this...

i do this all the time if i want to add stuff that i am missing from previous render or want to properly had clothes because of boobs size problems and such...

this probably will not help much but it is an idea....

i am waiting for posermatics stuff...

tried the implant morph...did not get any good results...also the lower nipples also leave the be desired as they produce nasty deforms or artifacts if you play with the dial too much...

i am not saying exactly larger "breasts" for v4....

I am saying that if you load v4 as she is right now even if you turn the dials and load some of the presets you do not get a decent looking character..for whatever reasons all females comes in almost an a cup size style breast and most of the time people will morph the breast to a size real bigger or somewhat bigger...i do not get yet why daz does not offer an "enhanced" breasts size of their meshes..it would save a lot of headcahes for people i think.

because otherwhise you have to magnetize the poor things or try to morph them and the results are usuall not realistic...at least mine are not...

I think stuff will pick up but i think it's gonna be slower than when people moved from v2 to v3...

V3 is still on top and daz will need to optimize ( patch) v4 in order to help people work with her better...

My 2 cents not worth much but...

I do think that daz is tryign to move away from poser but what do they have to offer? Honestly i tried Daz Studio and i i found it really hard to work with...everything is ackward and it is still missing a lot of features that are in poser.

On the other hand even in version 7 poser is still missing a lot of things or features that have been in other 3d packages since forever that would make life much  simplier in poser....as an example 3ds as character studio to help you animate properly...poser is still lacking in this...in poser i only use the poser room and material room..the rest for me are garbage rooms because they are to hard to work with and i don't feel like turning dials for hours to get what i need.

Poser is just getting optimized in version 7 really not much more...no BIG huge new feature that would radically change poser..you still can work in poser 6 if " you are just into posing" and get same results...

Poser needs to be retought form the ground up...and daz studio is just a cheap way for daz to try to bring you on their side to just their products...

Both sides are guilty of trying to outdo each other but what they offer is mostly smoke and mirrors..a lot of hype without much to work with..

I am sure that a lot of people here with knowledge of 3d programs would say that there is tons of things that could be included in poser but as me they do not understand why..i know the base of poser is hard to change so that is why i think a complete redesign of poser is in order because i do think that the current base is limiting poser.

As for studio well..honestly i tried several version of it even if it meant to have the ability to have features only available in daz for v3 but what i gained in daz i lost because daz studio did not have a feature that i needed to work with...example: could not translate millenium dynamic deformers wich are important for the work i want to achieve..daz studio did not support them..so i had to give up on daz studio and go back to poser all the time....so daz studio is worhtless to me....maybe v4 would change the way i feel about DS but i doubt it.

Both programs need a lot of work on them!

would like to see aiko 4 get the face treatment v4 got so she can make more expressions easily..i really like the vact that you can twist one dial instead of several to give a mood to v4...

aiko toon as that and it is fun to see....if aiko 4 could be like aiko toon...same teeth same expressions abilities i'd be all set....that is all i ask for..aikotoon is too toony for me but she is everything i need...

Not a very attractive prodduct to me....she is beautifull and all but too cartoony....plus there is not a clothes i like for her.....plus the aiko product is more interesting...i guess daz's priorities are a little weird for me...i would say that a michael 4 would be coming out before girl....

sigh we have to be patient i guess...

I don't have the figure but looking at what i have read here it seems that daz decided to take a lot of tech made by other folks and incorporate it in their own product....no disrespect to daz...but what i see here is a v3 figure + all the other gadgets made from people who sell on this website or other sites  rolled into V4. I am not accusing daz of stealing and it is normal that they put all those tricks into their new figure otherwise it would not sell but i don't see any revolutionnary gimmick added to v4 ....not enuff to justify the jump from v3 to v4 at least for now!

I do welcome the new asset tough and can't wait to be able to get it but is it a little too late?

Plus the fact that now again you have to restart from scratch to do your "poser" stuff and rebuild your library...I am not sure that that everyone will be that eager to move to vic 4 a.s.a.p since v3 if you sit down and think about it has all of the stuff of v4 but with some more tweaking and hassle but still you can do it wheter by tricks or post editing...

my opinion may be completely off base here since i have yet to see and use v4 but i can see that yes a new product is nice.

Also i would say that v4 was rolled out to compete against the content that is gonna be released in poser 7...

I am optimistic for v4 but i am not impressed since she is gonna be another money pit to deal with if you like poser stuff...

sorry daz v4 is just a too little too late....i hope i am gonna chnage opinion when i see v4 but i doubt it.... 

My biggest bitch about the daz stuff was always the breasts situation and Posermatic  with his products solved almost all of them for me and  the wyrrmaster magnets solved a lot fo my clothing fitting problems on my v3 so i can see that daz "borrowed" from these 2 inventors to put it in v4 but i wonder if it works properly...

i have to wait and see...

 while i tend to agree that maybe my poser needs background, i have found after experimenting that they detract from the original piece of attraction wich was the figure itself.

I could make arrange to have those fancy castle or rivers or pieces of wood in the backrounds but guess what...everybody is doing that!

I would end up looking and being the clone artist  of a clone of another clone artist. And i do not like the idea.

I plan on adding more as i go along to make the art seem to have less to do with poser but my idea is not to create those wonderfull worlds within poser.

That is one of the reasons why probably people hate poser so much as it is always a figure in some fantastic bacground and there are tons upon tons of poser picture like that.

George Petty a famous pin up artist tended to present just the figure in his art and people liked it.

You have to chose between having something simple or have clutter that makes the piece look like another cloned piece of art.

I could put ten thousand candles within a scene and the figure and all that people would look at is the figure.

If i am doing landscapes then it is a completely different story the scene is what is important therefore my focus will be on the scenery.

My scenes for the moment look empty but all i want is there....

I am reading your comments and i would agree with most of what i have read.

My simple point was that you as a viewer you have taste and taste is a matter of choice. you either like what you see or don`t...

The guy did not really critique the drawinf itself and even if he did i would not really care. i got four persons previous that said wow and cool and such and my art is on some well known websites yes for big boobs lovers..one of editors of the site liked my poser artso much that he gave me access to the website so that i can show my art.

My rant comes from the fact that the guy ridiculed what i used to come to the final piece of art that is shown. And i think that it was unfair for him to do so. I think any method is good wether you are using pen and paper or 3d programs or a sock to make your art. That person feels that because of what i have used seems to think that the art is inferior.

here is a link to my art...i have to warn you that it is big boobs art real simple like pin up style and that you will probably agree with the guy that started the whole thing and say to me that it is uninspired and that is fine...i can live with that..actors makes masterpieces and then they make crappy pictures and they live with it so i will do the same..

Would be nice if some company would put out a renderer specially desgined for toon rendering for poser. If the program would be good they would make tons of money on it....wonder why nobody as done this yet...

The toon rendering in poser 6 is a clone a carrara's toon rendering system and frankly it is awfull and it is hard to create something likable in them...the only program that i saw that was easy to use was i believe is illustrate for 3ds one of the best and easiest to work with....it gives out nice lines around edges and shading is awesome and also tons of controls to control final output...

even if you play many hours in carrara or poser the toon renderer will just give you pseudo crappy looking renders nothing fun there....

that is what i kinda don't like about the MDD sets you have to work with them in a VERY SPECIFIC way for them to work...
