Mr. Farr, If possible, PLEASE make this app capable of direct translation of AutoCAD solids (.dwg format) into whatever format the app uses for figures and props.

they are a trifle behind my concept. they are stuck with Pentagon procurement nonsense and government contracts... whereas I could get away with off the shelf technologies that are less expensive and more effective (assuming I could afford 'em) On top of that, they have a bad case of Columbus Syndrome, whereas I am dumb enough to look at medieval designs that were the end-result of a thousand years of combat-tested development and steal what is already known to work.

In fact, exploding them and then exporting them leads to all kinds of flipped-normal nightmares. Sharen - you have already been of great assistance, but I wish I had queried you about export protocols before attempting to reverse-engineer your treasure chest tutorial. Foxhollow - I use what I have, and what I have six years experience in using. I am a trained machinist and professionally experienced mechanical draftsman. ACAD works, but it is certainly not dummy-friendly. I suspect Unigraphics Solutions Solid Edge will eventually kick ACAD out of the mechanical drafting/engineering market because it is more powerful, more versatile, more broadly compatable with CAM systems, and MUCH easier to learn how to use proficiently. (Pity UG can't get their act together with UG (CADCAM) - it is a persnickety bugger). However... can't afford another $3000 program right now. Oh, well. I will be upgrading my computer soon, and picking up a bunch of additional programs. Do you recommend Max? Why?

whoa! those are straight renders from P5?!? those are as good as (or better than) the best I can squeeze out of ACAD2000's renderengine. Were the objects in some way "solid" or were they the normal Poser 3D mesh skins? If skins, how on EARTH did the program know what to do with the refractory indices???

the simple solution would be for pirated companies to plant warez bombs out there that'd frag harddrives and alert the FBI... It's what I would do to a snotty community of arrogant plagiarists - irrespective of any revenue they may or may not have cost me. If that happened only a few times, the word'd get out and these little e-theives would learn some manners. But then, I am a savage - prone to bait, entrap, render helpless, and mercilessly slaughter an enemy rather than complain.
