I appreciate the product, but have yet to be able to test it because the executable .msi file is Windows only it seems. Not knowing exactly what went into it, I wonder why it couldn't be Python to run either inside Poser or natively on the Mac OS file system. I have Parallels, but I have not yet tested whether I can update my Mac side files from Windows through Parallels. Thoughts or help?
Thread: any news from Nerd, what direction PP15? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry for not responding to this thread sooner. I've been pretty distracted planning features for the next version of Poser. I see a lot of you are worried we will abandon the Hobbyists.
Come on, you know us better than that! We're not abandoning you guys. It may seem we're slow to react sometimes that's because we are very careful not to wreck your legacy products as we move forward. Our plans are to give animators, content creators, illustrators, and yes, hobbyists new feature and toys to make Poser even more fun than ever.
Well, since you dropped in, are you/SmithMicro planning on offering native compatibility for Genesis 3? This is not a trick question or one intended to produce a "gotcha" it is part of my consideration of upgrade plans and I need to know how to proceed. I have purchased/upgraded to every version of Poser from P5 to PP2014. I have never used DAZ|Studio except a few opens to look at the latest interface. I have a 480GB runtime and I have purchased commercial content from SM (via Content Paradise), Renderosity, RuntimeDNA and Daz3D since 2004. I am a hobbyist, but I want the ability to run Genesis 3, and I want it to be native on Poser. If not, I may be forced to change (and I really don't want to use that option).
Thread: Updated helper apps for Mac Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Do you mean the program that would put a thumbnail into the cr2's, pz2 etc so that you'd get a thumbnail in the library of Poser 4 on the mac?
Usually, if an installer loads the files without thumbnails, they were prepped initially for Poser 4. Under older versions of Poser (Pre-Poser 8) sometimes if you loaded the directory, Poser woud create the thumbnails on the fly, if it didn't, Thumbnailer would.
Thumbnailer was a classic program that would run using Mac OS X's carbon libraries. When Mac OS X 10.6 came out, the carbon libraries were removed and Thumnailer would no longer run.
I have multiple different folders full of .cr2s and .pz2s, etc. that don't have thumbnails. I could load the directories in current versions of Poser and save thumbnails out individually, but if something like Thumbnailer existed that could run in Mac OS X 10.6.x or later, I could do it in batch much faster. That's the basis of my search.
Thread: FaceShop Pro for Mac ??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have an Intel iMac, running Parallels desktop and WinXPPro. I purchased FaceShop Pro from DAZ, and installed it to my Parallels partition and the program installs and loads just fine. I am, however, having trouble with the "just 5 minutes" thing for getting a face out. I am sure there is just a little "settling in" learning curve involved, but it seems to be fine otherwise.
Thread: Macintosh Poser 6, Figure Parts menu displays Runtime folder structure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
First, I didn't copy the old over the new, I copied the new over the old. So any new system type files were the current files after the merge. For the content, any content that was duplicated was the new stuff, so any content was either new or not from the old base install. Second, strictly as an academic exercise, I used my pristine CU1 and SR1 updated Poser and linked to the other folder's runtime, and after switching to the old runtime from within Poser, I was still getting the same types of errors. Thanks for the input, but unfortunately the linking versus copying issue didn't change things.

Thread: Poser 6 and getting rid of/not using the delta libraries | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As a follow up to your second post, how does the way you did the .cr2 files and .pmd files affect third party commercial characters (ie 3D_Celebrity's Kitty and London for instance). I use four or five main ones, and I was wondering how their Inj/Rem pose files are affected? I understand that their underlying needs are whatever they state in their sales pages, but if a character needs V3, V3 Head Morphs and V3 Body Morphs, and I have done this technique, will the INJ and REM MAT/MOR pose files for the character still work? Once again, thanks for your feedback. I greatly appreciate it.

I appreciate the feedback. I was wondering if you could share the source of your knowledge so that I can do some further research on it? I wonder how much the .pmd files save straight up. I know that they are supposed to be used by all the iterations of a figure so that the morphs don't have to be saved in every .pz3, but if the .pmd files are smaller than the delta files, could I just save multiple Vicky 3, SP3, Aiko3 etc .cr2s and save space and get rid of the deltas at the same time? Anyway, that's something I would like to be able to research. Again thanks for the feedback.
Thread: P4 Owners Left Out In the Cold? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am not a P4 user, but I am interested in the Python stuff listed here. Could someone provide a link or vendor where this stuff is for sale?
