BazC is right. It's how I did it. Except I started with ring I cut from tank, then I smothed it once.
Same ring used to make piece of regular pipe, but because it doesn't follow the tank curve I used magnet rotation to give it more like spline look.
I know it's not a gun but I wanted to make something different. I think I have never seen model of flamethrower (except games).
I can bet it's not mechanicly accurate but I couldn't find any closeup picture and only this one view. It's more gessing about pipe connection.
