Poser 11 works on my M1. I’ve been using it for the past three years.

The Poser market's pretty much dried up but the standards-based 3D market is blowing up. You can find free models, PBR shaders, and HDRI's galore at Sketchfab, TurboSquid, Poly Haven, etc. Anything that's not figure-based. You may have to clean them up in an outside program but Poser accepts the standard formats.Miss B posted at 9:40 PM Thu, 15 September 2022 - #4444564
Yeah, I think it's been around three years. I lost my files, and that made me lose interest in Poser for a while. I'm trying to reassemble what I can for a picture that I can't get out of my head without rendering it...without throwing too much money at Poser again.

OK. Let me open those up and sift through them. For some reason I thought they had to be downloaded from the website. Thanks.

Yeah, the price of Human Generator is a bit steep for what it's offering at the moment. I don't use human figures often right now so it's not on my buy list. I have been looking for a pathway from Poser though. It's only figure creation and content that slows me down. I thought Manuel Bastioni Lab might have been it but he bailed too soon. Humgen may have learned from that in that they are putting the payment plan upfront so there's no confusion. I also find it interesting that they are promoting the ability to create content packs for their characters.
One of Daz and Poser's strengths is the ecosystem of related content, sized for their figures, and easy for people to use. Blenderkit is doing something similar. Easy to find and use content for Blender users. Imagine if you could buy or download Humgen content packs on Blenderkit. Imagine if the community created freebies built for these particular figures. Bastioni was very focused on the meshes, which I like a lot. HG seems to be focused on the interface and creating an ecosystem.
Long-time Blender users have had to develop workflows or take advantage of third-party tools to get rigged and textured figures into the software. New users may welcome a tool like this with open arms. Gotta love the newbs, many times they have more money than skills, lol. I'd love to see this grow, they seem to be off to a good start.
Manuel Bastioni Lab is still around. It's called MB-LAB, and it works in the latest versions of Blender. The latest version on Github is 1.7.8, and works fine on Blender 2.81 to 2.83. Not sure if there are bugs or what but it should install in 2.9x as well.
Thanks. I’m aware of MB-Lab, but trying to reverse engineer Bastioni’s code has really slowed development. Good to have multiple options though.

Thread: Opened Poser 10 today... libraries replaced by a flashplayer icon. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have the same issue on Pro 2014 Mac. How is it that a company can reach into your computer and remove stuff like that?
Anyhow, I've been using Advanced Library Manager and it seems to work fine, plus I upgraded to Poser 11 a while back. I guess I dodged a bullet but appreciate the fixes posted on this forum.

I'm not sure why Bondware would issue what is essentially a beta version for money. Affinity issues open betas for free all the time. They stop working once the full version comes out and they don't even use DRM. Daz is, obviously, free and Blender allows the user base to make suggestions or even fix plugin code starting at the alpha stage. I don't see much positive in this and if I were paying money the promise of updates to come would not be very satisfying.

They kinda work with Sasha. IIRC the eyes would not follow extreme head morphs. Never tried the Sasha update though.

I bought Capsces morphs for A3 and H3, M4 and V4, and Cookie and Chip. They each came with an extensive set of individual morphs plus 6 or 7 body presets and as many presets each of Caucasian, African, Asian, and Native American faces. You could use those presets as they were, modify them to taste or start from scratch. They were an excellent value that you don't see much any more and one of the reasons I'll be using those figures for years to come.

I never did the various club subscriptions. Over the years I accumulated a ton of content, much of it unused. I believe I save money by just buying what I actually need at the time rather chasing deals.
I’ve also had issues with the huge content holes here and in other marketplaces so I realized I’d have to learn to model and retexture to get what I need. There are also a lot of non-Poser freebies around the net so I resize and import quite a bit of stuff. Picked a nifty saxophone just the other day.
Hey, I agree. I've accumulated LOTS of free stuff over twenty years of using Poser. Btw, there's a Freebies page in my Content Directory that points you to a lot of free stuff, some of it contributed by the very people in this forum, including yours truly.
That freebies listing is pretty cool. It’s like walking through a flea market. Never know what you might find.

I have a similar issue in 11.2 Mac. First the parameters dials cease working, then if I try to select a different object I'm unable to. I'm able to command-save though so I restart Poser and keep at it. Tends to happen about once a day.

I’ll second Scene Toy Pro. I wouldn’t want to work without it.

Thread: PLEASE make the hierarchy window remember it's last collapsed state! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This request seems more a “quality of life” feature than a functionality issue. It’s why some programs are efficient and even pleasurable when trying to get work done and some make you grit your teeth as you work. Unfortunately new functions are easier to market and it takes forward thinking developers to get it done.
It’s not just the hierarchy window either, I have the same problem in the cloth room when selecting what objects the cloth should drape over. There are numerous inefficiencies in Poser that addon makers have addressed but they should be in the core program.
