I stumbled across this offer from Wacom: you buy an intuos 2 6x8 and you'll get a link to buy Photoshop cheaper! More info at: http://www.wacom.com/promo/photoshop_cs.cfm (I guess that this offer is limited to the US, as usual!) I already have PS CS and just bought the Graphire3, just too late for this offer. You can also buy a copy of Photoshop 4, or higher, and then buy the upgrade to CS from a previous version on eBay. Make sure they are fully legit programs. I know 3 people that have done this, for around $300 total.

When doing that, play with the blending modes to get what you want. Most often Color and Multiply will do you a good job.
