Try T and Ctrl+UpArrow (toggles)

Ctrl+U saves your settings so it will always open as you like it.

Been away from Blender for a couple years, thought I would try out the alpha.

Outstanding, think I will follow along with the development and hopefully have it under my belt by summertime (2.6).

The integrated "live" Python (3.1) is something else as well!

Well my installations all seem to be working OK. Commenced with Python Babysteps Tutorial at http://www.coolnamehere.com/geekery/python/pythontut.html and did "Hello,world" and "Enter your name"! Well its a start; you cant finish if you dont start. Next up is Python for Newbies at http://npt.cc.rsu.ru/user/wanderer/ODP/Python_for_Newbies.htm

OK I hear you; think I better get to grips with what I have already before I venture anything more complicated. Once again,your advice is much appreciated.

OK thanks for that- I picked up an Introduction to tkinter pdf from pythonware (and something called the PIL library as well). I was thinking of trying to make sense out of Blender scripts first rather than Poser (Shade seems like a bit of a problem) on the grounds that it is open source-would that be sensible way to go?

I have been interested for some time now to try learning Python. Have installed Python, Stanis Python Editor and obtained a copy of Python in a Nutshell by Alex Martelli (March 2003) and Beginning Python (Wiley) from last year. Do the Python experts here think it is a good enough kit to make a start or can recommend other resources helpful for a beginner? Thank you.

Historically America is the one country that I thought had succesfully managed a separation of church and state (a good thing IMHO). Perhaps I have got it wrong.

Someone mentioned freebies and there being less of them. While that may be true the quality seems much improved and not just here. This would also impact users willingness to pay $ for sometimes inferior product. Quality at good prices usually wins in the end.

Flex LM normally installs to C:FlexLM and would only contain license files for software that uses the FlexLM license manager eg Alias. Take every thing out of the FlexLM folder that should not be there. It is better to have your My Documents sitting by itself on C: and not in any other folder. This situation can happen if you install a second copy of WinXP(Pro) on a new drive (say D:).You just need to tidy everything up but be careful not to delete system files on C that are needed to boot.
