From what I understand, the Vue parts of the scene are still rendered by Vue. There might a speed increase for the other parts of the scene, but probably not in the Vue parts.

When placing objects inside Max, can you tell where the Vue objects (trees, landscape) are or do you basically need to guess?

Could it be that Vue 5 has been pushed up because of the news about Bryce? E-on may not have the staff to work on the consumer and pro versions at the same time. I don't think the pro version is really what a pro is looking for. I'm not a pro, but I do use Cinema 4D. I haven't had much luck using Vue Pro with C4D. I think e-on missed the mark with Vue Pro 4. Maybe Vue Pro 5 will be more what a pro is looking for. Specifically, I'm not impressed with the export features of landscapes and plants. You get huge models and textures which take a very long time to export and don't look very good when imported into C4D. I would have preferred a plugin approach like they did with Ozone. Working inside Vue Pro 4 is probably fine, but one of the main features of the pro version should be exporting to other apps.

I ordered Poser 5 from Amazon for $139 with free shipping. This is for a U.S. address. I got an email from Amazon saying it has been shipped, but it has not arrived yet. I guess that means that the order went through.

I don't think this says that e-on is beta testing after release. I take it as saying the people who were the beta testers can start talking about their experiences with the product once it has shipped. They are not allowed to say anything before the product has shipped.

As far as I can tell, there isn't anything in Ozone that isn't in Vue. Ozone is simply a way to use Vue atmospheres in Lightwave and Cinema 4D.

I think the render and lighting look better in the teaser then they do in current Vue renders.

I would certainly think that there will an upgrade price for current Vue users. There was an upgrade price for Ozone for Cinema 4D.
