Thread: More problems with Poser import into Carrara 5 Pro | Forum: Carrara
I had three things happen with an image like this. My first was with the video driver and card. The second was with trying to move an old character from Poser 5 up to Poser 6 or the other way around. I wound up removing all of the old mapping from Poser 5 and re-linking it in Poser 6 it was easer.I then imported it back into Carrara 5. (Poser SP2 had to be installed for this to work.) The third was with the available system memory after opening Poser, Carrara and other applications. This one was and easy fixes after a reboot to clear the memory chips but the manual states not to open other apps at the same when using either time and I find this to be true. They do not clear themselves from memory after closing the application. (There is nothing like having you kids standing next to you with a character rendering with no close on. :o) Hope this helps. George
Thread: Power Pack Plug-in | Forum: Carrara
Eric, Ren_mem I was able to pull in the Plug-in's from the Digital Carvers Guild server and all of the plug_ins that I have are working great. This was a good suggestion. It was quick and hopefully pulled a little tension off of the Eovia server. Thanks again! I'm still playing with tone. :( George

I did the same and they messaged me back stating to use that download link form the old email. The one I received had (BETA) next to every download link on the page. Look for the link that says (Full download (beta)). That one worked for me.

I'm with Steama. I am on a PC and have had great luck with Poser 6 files and animations. Just watch the hair. The Update for C5 looks to fix some of the trouble I have had before.
Thread: What's on the Content CD? | Forum: Carrara
I think Content CD from DAZ adds some great models that help you get to know the new Poser import feature of Carrara 5. {Make sure to download the TransPoser Update from the eovia site.}
Thread: C5 Manual??? | Forum: Carrara
From what I have seen the PDF is updated with the new features. I see the new After Effects plug-in is documented.
Thread: Anyone been able to download the Final Release??? | Forum: Carrara
I just got a response back. It was my fault for over looking an email that was sent to me in November <<<< with the download link. I didn't keep up with it thinking that another email was going to be sent. The store showed that the download had expired again thinking that it was for the Beta download. I was able to pull it in and the Application no longer shows Beta after running. I think that DAZ did a *#%^ GOOD job offering the new content!!!. Check the old link and emails.

(I think the scaling thing with objects being transposed into Carrara from Poser should be automatic with out user interactions.) Its a pain but try building things in Poser then use the defaults save settings from Poser 5 or 6 and import the file into Carrara. It gives you a file that has everything scaled properly. (The two programs are brother and sister. Or visa versa.:) I would like to see them talk to each other with out me messing things up.)p

Thread: Transposer test animation | Forum: Carrara
Sorry for not getting back sooner todd71. (Vacation time) Yes. For this test the model was exported from poser to run in place. I wanted to try a few things but found that Carraras tree line will render a lot better with the model running threw it. I will post another animation with this next.

I made a change to the opening page. Its now open for downloads in zip format to view with the .mov and .mpeg codecs or view online.
