bruno = yes. iloco = i apologize, i can only find one email and i thought we sent you a fix for the blue polys in a part of a bonsai model. the color of the transparency shader is set to non-black. slide it downward, and the blue transparent color is gone from the leaf. re: libraries at DAZ. they have a few hundreds DVDs, some are a few weeks old, some are from january, in general only alpha problems exist, if you hit anything that makes you unhappy just ask for a replacement DVD from me.

we spent 2 years to rebuilt nearly all plant models, gather new improved textures from Version 1 into what is called Version 2. I was stating i dont recommend to try to convert 11,000 files. it was supposed to be a slight joke.

i should add - for any problem you hit - email me at mcsherry@xfrog.com and we will send the solution. we realize there can be problems assigning materials/color/alpha, and/or requested for dvd replacement and we want to help.

our upgrade offer from V1 to V2 is $ 25 per library. we like to make plants and for Version 2 we created everything in 9 formats, which we do not especially recommend. 540 models per library x 22 libraries = 11,000 models. in that mix, we find problems occasionally. we hardly ever hit a modeling problem, rather, we find limitations of import/export such as this OBJ and that OBJ support of X software vs. Y software differ, and we find problems inbetween software releases of the same company, and we find that yes, we make mistakes sometimes during conversion. in the case of Vue, 99 percent of the mistakes are related to alpha missing or bump missing or preview missing. all can be recreated inside Vue, because the color maps are present and they have imbedded alpha, i believe Orio above has detailed the process. stewart mcsherry product manager greenworks organic software mcsherry@xfrog.com

Let me try to help out - anybody on here with any problems with XfrogPlants libraries Version 2, email me at mcsherry@xfrog.com We scrutinized over 1500 VOB in March and we found several small problems - mostly we found some files have missing alpha and missing bump, that can be reset inside VUE without a lot of problems - you can create the missing alpha textures when Vue asks you for one - but we also found a few oddball problems and we burned and released new DVDs which are now perfect. However, since there is a product chain, there is some stock that is going thru some resellers that we shipped earlier than March. Bottom line - we will fix any problems by helping you over email and sending you a replacement DVD free of charge, whatever you bought, from whomever, it is all eligible to be swapped for new DVDs, anytime you need it. hi we found problems here and there with VOB but all are fixed as of a month ago, when we put all libraries on www.cornucopia3d.com as VOB + XFR. Hi Lingrif could you detail which models in Japan and Medi, hang Vue. can you copy them to harddrive ok, or is the cdrom acting strange. and which exact build of Vue are you using. all VOB are made with Vue 4,and so far we have decided to support all Vue customers by staying with building VOB in Vue 4. we cannot guarantee the thumbs will appear correct in Vue 5 Infinite but they certainly should not hang Vue, so please tell me which models. about the transparency info missing, i suspect a bug in Vue 5 Infinite import but we are going to check all of this on Monday. i guess the current workaround is to reload the texture and tell Vue it is transparent. sorry for the trouble. we will sort this out. please give us as much info as you can. between our internal dev and Orio, we will hopefully find a solution. stewart mcsherry product manager greenworks organic software www.greenworks.de www.xfrog.com

the DVD libraries have 20 Species * 3 ages * 9 formats on the DVD. (540 3d models) the Turbosquid individuals are Species, you pick 1 format when you buy them, you get 3 models in that format, plus 3 Xfr, 3 billboards, and 3 perspective renders(tiff+alpha). the C3D individuals are in Vue format and Xfr + billboards + perspectives. shorter answer. yes. you get a .vob slice of that DVD Species. production note. 22 XfrogPlants libraries on turbosquid, is 22 libs x 20 Species x 8 formats = 3520 different zips, built and uploaded to ts with thumbnails and descriptions. no fun.

just wanted to pop in and make a few short announcements. the 30 percent off, on all xfrog products, on daz3d.com, ends in about 24 hours. all software we make is on there. and each and every XfrogPlants library DVDs contain the following - vue, bryce, max, maya, 3ds, obj, xfr, c4d, lwo. so you can use them with various packages, not only Vue. and yes, we have individuals on TS and corn. we have not advertised that fact at all so far. all models are on TS, in all formats... around 400 zips x 8 formats.....so you can pick any format, any Species. and slowly but surely the Vue format zips are going up on cornucopia. one special mention is Africa. we have not released Africa as a product yet, but you can get the individuals from TS and corn. Orio made Africa, and its one of his best works yet. about poly counts - we are above and below the complexity of the SolidGrowth models. Hi i try to add some comments. I am the product manager of Xfrog and XfrogPlants. Therefor i spew market speak...sorry.... All 21 Libraries can be ordered as VUE 4 format + XFR format in our online shop at xfrog.com -> shop, there is a format pulldown menu, we supply 9 different formats nowadays. the most recent are VUE, Bryce, Maya, and .scn(XSI) All libraries have 20 species x 3 ages, including the VOB, formats, therefor contain 60 models per CD, sometimes more. 149 / 60, is less than $ 3.00 per model., or $ 7.00 per Species. We also include 60 Rendered Billboards(alpha planes) , and 60 Perspective Renders. these 120 files all have either alpha or object buffer, so u can drag and drop them over backgrounds seamlessly, or map them onto a single polygon, to make a forest. XfrogPlants are in some recent films - Polar Express, the Incredibles, Renegade / Blueberry, and the trailer for the upcoming War of the Worlds. (Spielberg/Cruise) We hope you will try them out in your favorite format. And i hope i was able to answer a few questions.
