I have posted basically the same question on the e-on website. Here is the reply that i got. (from e-on tech) Hi aaron, This behavior is intentional. The copy protection prevents you from saving a plant you got from Cornucopia3d. Best regards. Tom Thir I can understand why they would disable the ability to export a plant from vue, but you can't even save a new plant species created in the plant editor. Kind of a bad deal, if you ask me. -Aaron

This sort of thing happens to me all the time. Scenes will mysteriously become animated. I just go to the timeline and select "destroy object animation" and then save again and it usually solves it. I dont know where the animation comes from, but it usually happens to me when i have done a lot of booleans and grouping.(seems that way anyways). I sent a email to e-on a long time ago about this but got no response.

Read pages 117-124 (especially pg.122) in the Vue Users Guide. It explains how mover works fairly well. just read the instructions and follow along with a very simple scene the first time. you will get the hang of it I'm sure.

The only other way that i can think to get the slightly transparent look is to make the alphas for the plants not 100% black. They cant be to light or they will look bad. i just tried to do this but I cant open the alphas to vues plants in PSP7. they are some format other than jpeg or bmp etc.. I am going to try to use the aphas for the exchange leaves that are in the free stuff are here because i know that i can open them.

I just remembered that once when I re-opened my scene that the mover timeline appeared. My picture is not animated in any way(no motion or material animation) but the timeline said that an entire group had some type of object animation anyway. I just closed the timeline and continued working. Then shortly after, if i remember correct Vue crashed. Maybe a coincidence??? I don't know.

Pete- I searched for rscmpt.exe on my c drive and got no results. I guess I should have asked what does the error message mean, not what caused it. Who knows. As for too many programs running, the only ones running were Vue, Norton, and the usual system stuff. My Pc hardly ever crashes or freaks out on me so i just thought this was weird. It's working fine now so no big deal i guess. -And yes my computer is black, but no 666'S to be found
Thread: Render Speed: To disk vs. On screen | Forum: Vue
I just performed the exact same test with the lancaster plane and a very simple scene. It took 31 seconds to render to screen at 640x480, and 1 min. 10 sec. to render to disk. I have also tried to render large images to disk, but have never thought to compare the two until now. I think Ill stick to rendering on screen. hope this helps..
