ok, here is what I did, I imported Syd into Maya, she was small.....
I made no adjustments to her scale, modeled a skirt, simple open ended cylinder shaped it to fit and saved a .obj.
back to Poser opened Syd, and imported skirt, and it was still 3 - 4 times the size of Syd, I scaled it down to fit.
this is going to take a bit more than i thought, SO the O.R. and Med equipment may take a bit longer to do, but I am still working on it.

I'm pretty new to the poser/Daz world as well, but I have been seeing that since syd is new and there isn't alot of sontent for her, I have been downloading as much as I could find for the Jesse female tha is in the poser 6 tab on the menu side of poser, you can get a lot of stuff for her.

I figured it out, on the tab menu where you see pose, face.... the last tab is content, that takes you to CP.com but it also has an option to load content from a zipped archive, and it loads it all in there nicely.

ok, let's put that to sleep right now, I purchased my poser 7 from amazon.com $179,

Brother in arms: earned in blood, and Stuntman 2 which will be coming out later this year, if it's still on schedule and I know it will happen but I hate to think of all the hours (10 - 12 a day 6 - 7 days a week ) that is put in on making a game it will be copied and "shared" while the artist lose money that they/we should be getting! So now you  (I hope) have your answer.
Now the free content I have been downloading while waiting on my poser to arrive is zipped or rar, all requiring a "extraction"

ok, I found a poser model in .obj format, imported it into max.....
DAMN!!! I see what you all mean about them being small, but DAMN!!!! thats tiny.
but I have that little model in a max file by it's self, so if I model "whatever" merge the files and scale it down to fit the character it all should work out,..right????

Same place I am getting 7 from amazon.com,....search for poser, and 5, 6, and 7 will come up.
Poser 5 for $59.

I know that's a big order. Learning Maya but not even close to that yet.

Sure no big deal, are these things you want going to need to be textured? or is that something you can do?
and also I am not sure what scale to build them on so some re-sizing maybe need on your part I haven't received my poser yet  (thursday)  but once I get it I'm sure I will be able to  make items on a better scale.

give me a few examples of what your looking for,...and yes I work in Maya and Max primarily

Now while I am waiting on my poser to get here, would someone mind explaining all the abbreviations you guys are throwing around,....?
I am (while waiting) downloading as much of the free stuff as I can, but I began to think about the abbreviations and if some or all of the downloads will work on my ver 7?

yeah I just looked over the poser 7 info on amazon once I saw the layered animation tools (very similar to the character studio in max) I think I will be getting 7 even if there are "some bugs" I am mainly wanting it because while I am a professional 3d artist, making realistic looking human models,......I just don't have the patience, I mostly work in architecture and environmental scenes.

k, thanks, I found poser 6 on cdw and new egg for 160 - 180 $
now one more question will I be able to import from 3d max and or maya into poser, or export from poser to either of the other software?
