That's because he e-mailed me the link where I could download the Quality Sandal off his site. I guess I'm SOL. I'm going to e-mail him and ask him to look at this thread. Thanks!

The product I purchased was billy-t's "Open Toe Sandal" which he subsequently removed and replaced with "Quality Sandal for Vicky". In his e-mail, he explained to me that the first product was not meant to go on the MarketPlace but meant to be a freebie.
Thanks for looking into this, Clint.

This is really good Sallie! Everything looks great! (I ain't crazy about the eye shadow but that's just me...) One thing: The eyeballs are too white... you need some red lines in there or, otherwise, she'll look like a Visine ad! ;o) (WOW, is it me or does that tongue look real?) -Nathalie

Thanks a bunch for the info Architect! I'll be posting my result in the Gallery probably by tomorrow! Thanks Kate and Steve too!

The problem is my "texture" is all black with some white accents. When I change the highlight to white, the white accents do not show up in the render and it still doesn't look shiny. Picture a black texture with crude white sewing stitches on it. Does that make sense? Is it possible to do this?

Thank you both for the help! I think I got it to work. I reinstalled the mat file. At first, it was telling me it wasn't finding the object, so I tracked it down and put it in the right folder. It must have been a glitch! Thanks again. -Nathalie
Thread: The "invisible" DAZ Fairy Problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The material pack I bought from DAZ was an .exe file and just self-installed into the appropriate folder(s). I thought I was just buying the texture maps but, it looks like they loaded as characters. They're under "Figures". I have one icon for the plain fairy, then another icon for the Cool Fairy, and a third for the Warm Fairy. If I load the plain fairy then double-click on the Cool or Warm icon (as if to apply just the texture), it tells me that it's changing the figure. So, I guess that's not how it works. I should be able to double-click on the Cool or Warm fairy and have her load on the screen with her appropriate textures. Instead she loads in "invisible". I'm at work right now and I can't try it out but I will download the PPP 2nd service pack. Maybe that will help. I'm sure this is just a glitch... :o(

Thanks for trying to help me: I double-click on the Cool or Warm Fairy icon, supposedly the model loads but there's nothing on my screen. However, if I go to Edit Materials, all the textures are listed there for the body parts and if I pick a body part from the menu (under the screen), they're all there but, still, my screen is empty. I'ts like the model is invisible. Sorry if this explanation is clear as mud! LOL
