Fractal Explorer. 2.00 is coming out soon it appears, as beta 2 is currently available. Great little program, but I'm still not sure how to make zoom animations :( ~jamesThread: new member to the forum | Forum: Fractals
Hey paragon5, couple of comments/questions/thoughts. First off, I like the site, but, I'm curious as to how much space you allowed. The reason I ask is because there were a few fractals that I would have liked to have seen in a larger format, rather then just a part of the collage that you created (which I think was a pretty good idea if you have space concerns). Also, the one thing (pet peeve) that I really don't like is not being able to know how the person made their images. Maybe some basic information about the program used would be a good idea? Also, for the zip file, I am assuming that the images are in jpg, or a similar format, but, perhaps information about that would be useful? After all, someone may download the zip under the impression that they can get the file that you used to create the image, and not just the final product... Anyways, keep up the good work :) ~james

I find Fractal Explorer to be my program of choice in that it is not only free (so that you can take your time in playing with/learning fractals) but that it is fairly easy to learn. If you can pay for it, UltraFractal is pretty nice as well, but, I found the interface to be a tad more difficult then FE... My Fractal Galleries, FYI: http://jamesrskemp.net/jms1fractalgalleries.htm There are some good ones, but some okay ones as well... ~jamesThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
