Thread: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | Forum: Bryce
after looking at my reply....the path of the camera, when circling around the arrow would have to be animated to...to follow the arrows path.... so really, it would just be 1. a straight camera path from the start till it catches up with your arrow... 2. a circular camera path that in a perfect circle around your arrowhead...and tracks the arrowhead....and moves at the same velocity/direction as your arrowhead... i guess thats kinda like the drawing i made.... but the drawing is static....in reality the squiggles around the arrow would be one path..one circular path... im not sure if bryce allows multiple camera paths? or how it handles that... but maybe render part of the time line with the straight path up to the arrow and the rest of the timeline has the circle path.... there... in theory i think this works.. in bryce? i dunno -G

Thread: importing .3ds file and adding terrain | Forum: Bryce
cool, thanks i was having trouble because my .3ds is a house with a sort of deck like thing that is just a cube that extends "below" the terrain so that it looks like it's "growing out" of the terrain.... when i 'drop to floor'...it used the bottom of that deck thing as a reference to drop to floor... is there a way to pick all of the elements of my house and make one 'temporary reference point' so that they all drop to floor with that as the point? thanks for your help -michael

Thread: Product review in CADence Magazine | Forum: Bryce
i downloaded the 30 day demo awhile ago and have been waiting to install it...after reading that review in cadence...i took the plunge...installed it and imported a model (.3ds)...played with the materials...terrain, clouds. etc... the interface was easy enough to understand, although i am hung up right now on creating an animation.... had problems lining up my imported models floor level with the newly created terrain... (house is on a cliff) and had to "manually" raise/lower the terrain until it was close enuff... our office has been using acad with accurender but i am seriously considering talking the boss into purchasing this bryce program... setting the 3dviews was fast/easy. ummm are there any locations for "architectural" materials..? i see alot of fantasy and twigs and misty scenes...we're more interested in bricks/stone/glass/etc.. :) thanks and i;m glad i found this place wish me luck for the next 30 days :)
