A big HUG from me too, catlin !!! i have an autoimmun condition so i sometimes can't very well move my fingers so i can feel for you a lot, having these kind of troubles as an artist is hell ... but i am confident that the laser treatment will help if it is necessary. Like Peggy and Ardiva say: its no pain and helps a lot. HUG Jutta

another thing i just noticed: looks like you have all the sails set to visible. There a several sets of sails to this ship i.e. wind blown, furled and draped.

I used a terrain and some metaball-clusters (they add tremendously on rendertime) on this image. The terrain is somewhat greenish so it looks like seaplants that get whirled up. Only postwork is the rainlike splatters.
