Well, I got a slightly appalling 2 minutes 10 second render time with my Dual PIII 933 W/1 gig of PC133 ram and an ATI 7200 card. Running XP w/SP1. Now, in my defence, my PC has been up for over a week without any type of reboot, and I had outlook, a chatroom, Internet explorer, and 3 downloads going at the time... not to mention motherboard monitor, a firewall, virus scanner, and Style XP. I suppose all of that stuff was eating a few system resources... :D

This... situation is very unreal.. I'm right next to NYC and this is most certainly a situation that has shocked us all... I'm still trying to get in touch with family in NY.. but all cell lines are down, and there is sporadic phone connections.. simply put, this is like being in some odd movie... rest assured we are NOT happy about this.. I can't even begin to imagine the death count.. 4 passenger planes downed, the Pentagon on fire, and both world trade towers collapsed.. Keep us in your thoughts, I don't think this has ended yet..

Actually, if you have 2k pro, there is an option to have it automatically log you in. I think it's under the user preferences.. not sure.. lol I use advanced server myself.. I have a use for its more powerful features (home network). I also found 2kpro to not run as well in some areas, but for most users it's fine. But I'm a nt4 kid here.. lol, so I'm used to the down and dirty. Jogert

I did tech support for years, fixed problems innumerable, so when I did a simple re-install of my os it should have been no big deal right? Wrong, 2k decided it wanted to find that drive that I disabled in the bios and delete it's partition during setup.. isn't that special? lol Jogert

Yeah yea.. lol, this advice comes after loosing countless hours/days/weeks/years of work on several occasions.. back ups.. know em, love em.. lol. I you make a badck up and restore it thinking you can then delete the backup because you're safe.. think again, keep till you make a new one! I just lost ALL of my poser data that way.. sigh.. and then I found out that Morphworld closed down (When did that all happen?). Been out of this scene for a long time, I just skip in for occasional updates.. stupid job.. lol. Anyone want to write me a 20 pages or less summary on what happened in the last 6 months to a year? :D Ah well, so that's my advice in a nutshell.. save often, save freely, and save in several places if it's important! Well.. if you want to save the file, go into the directory, find the file you are working on, and copy and paste it.. instant back up. That way if the new saved file is dead, just delete it and rename the copied file to the origional file name.

Heya, I know all about the pain in the butt with the reg code.. I've had to re install 3 times for various reasons, and it's a pain to contact them every time.. so, I found an easy way around it. If you copy the cc exe file, then overwrite the new one on the reinstal, it saves your last reg number. So, it's like backing up the poser rsr for when poser kills itself.. this has saved me a lot of hassle for all the system rebuilds since then.. because the first time I bought it and regged it, I got the code in one night, the second time, it took almost a week to get the code.. hence my search for an alternative way before the third try.. lol Just a bit of help for all those cc users!

Well, The itanium and Whistler combo are still supposed to support all 32 bit applications just as well as previous windows versions. Whether or not they will work, or will work with a performans/stability hit is still to be seen. I doubt there will be a 64 bit poser out unless the itanium really takes off, which also remains to be seen.

understood.. but you don't sell them "as" the char.. (and is squaresoft, Electronic Arts, and Eidos that own copywrite and distributions rights). But if he want's to do it for free.. hey! Nice! Hmm.. if you do the rest of the chars (tifa,barret, yuffie, cid, red13,aeris,cait saith,vincent,sephiroth, and any others..) You could easily sell this! But only complete sets.. how about packs? Villains and heroes? You could do them for a few of the games.. if you made kain from ff2 (us name, 4 in japan) I'd be all over it.. he rocked! Brian
